My argument for POE2 death mechanics.
I don't want to rant long it just breaks my heart. I remember in Diablo getting home from school and logging into dial up and having like 40 people to play with daily.

I figured out why I hate the lose exp on death mechanic. I don't mind wasting my time in a game, however, when I cannot play with any other human being on a mass multiplayer game because player strength has to be equal, that's where it because a chore. It happens time and time again you will start a party and one person dies twice and they have to wait for the other person to map, not fun game play for either person. They either leave and try to leech off another mapper or just don't play. Being scared to die forces everyone to play solo and not even treat it as an ARPG. its just an rpg with a trade and global chat honestly. I can't stop playing but I wish they had a no rarity bonus multiplayer option or something where people could you know, play a video game together.

This is partially societies fault as well since everyone just has to be mach ten and no one can just relax and play games anymore but it's sad to sit on a multiplayer game 16 hours a day by yourself. I can't run maps at a blistering speed but I can survive and kill everything in the game so im in a weird pocket where I can play with no one. Anyone my skill level is using flicker and blinking around killing everything or they cant survive there is no in between. I could switch builds and go mach ten I just don't find that fun and then again you're not even playing a video game at that point your playing a map blink simulator.

TLDR; I just wanna hang out with people in party and have fun playing the game. Not making two of the four people wait in Canal Hideout while the other one just runs behind everyone in an empty map. Let me revive my bros is a less rewarding mode or something.

Yeah the multiplayer aspect would be better if the game was designed differently. But it's just that going fast like sonic is greatly rewarded and being slow is greatly punished in this game. If being slow wasn't punishing by nuking your buying power with inflation then a lot of players wouldn't mind playing slow.

The developers encourage going fast as the only way to play this game. If they made economy more stable then playing slow would be far less punishing.

I recommend just playing campaign in hardcore with new chars constantly. It's a much funner multiplayer experience.
