How much life is good for a Cloak of Flame setup? no shield.
I've been doing my best with a melee necro Chober build (Titan), it only really started making sense now that i've met the requirements for Giant's Blood, but i can't really use a shield over a scepter because the minion count is too low so it kind of defeats the point of the build, however this means i'm quite squishy, atm i also have 12% damage taken from mana before life and i'm thinking i should get the Lucidity nodes as well.

At lv62 i've got 1.422 life, which i could improve with gear i guess, but how much is good for this game? in PoE1 the bare minimum for almost anybody was 4.000.

I'd say about 3000 with max res. You definitely need another layer of EHP. ><
