I simply don't understand the desire to post in a forum for a game you clearly don't like, when there are alternatives to play that would suit you better.
Simple, Steam Points for awards. OP here almost do it daily with the same thread post "D4 better ugh !", and same stuff on other Steam forum. Just report, block and ignore thread. Easy to do.
if there are so many.....
i mean.....
posting in the forums inform potential buyers they may want to consider skipping this one. threads like this in particular even offer an alternative in the same genre. glad we could clear that up.
It doesn't mean anything that there is so many. It just means game is successful and has a larger playerbase, therefore more people with reasons to complain, doesn't mean the proportion of people complaining to satisfied players is bigger. Satisfied players don't have any reason to come here and say it's fine, so they're very, very, very underrepresented here, nevermind that this entitled attitude from steam forum complainers is rather painful, and probably sends normal people flying rather fast.
Just another biased post from you.
Yes, I view steam forum complaints as a marker of success haha. :D
Helps when you put your feelings aside and you do math. Brain can't process more than 150 people at once, so to your intuition, 150 people or millions, it changes nothing. Need to turn these people into numbers to properly process it with our monkey brains, and not a single complainer has managed to set their emotional bias aside to offer solid proof with numbers.
i like Path of Exile 2 more
tho the bugs are a little annoying but they is the normal from a EA
People said of PoE1 that it is what Diablo 3 should've been, and they're saying the same from PoE2 vs D4 perspective. ^^''
Both games are fine I think, but D4 will have died in a year, PoE2 will still be running in 10 years though.
A legitimate critique of the game is one thing.
"POE2 BAD. D4 GOOD" is not, in any way shape or form, constructive to a potential buyer. They would have already watched one of the hundreds of youtube videos about it before buying, like any sensible consumer does if they are on the fence.
Arguably, I could understand looking into the forums to find general critiques, but what is the message that a prospective buyer that looks at this post would gain. Nothing really.
Lets say they do buy diablo 4 instead. As someone who loved diablo for a long time, and enjoyed playing it for what it was, it was a gigantic waste of money, and for me, after playing POE2, I realized just how bad diablo was, comparatively. And.. now that my eyes have been opened to what an actual game in the genre is, I wish i could take back my 300 hours in D4 and put it into POE1.
Honest, well formulated, critiques and grievances I can tolerate. What I and many others cant tolerate, is people posting low tier rage bait that doesnt solve anything. This isn't an airport, you don't have to announce departures. The reviews section exists for a reason.
no i get what youre saying. i was only half joking though. i would expect threads like this to become more common as more people hit maps and/or customer service continues to struggle.
OP's post would actually incentivize me to buy this game lol, with the experience I have on steam. ;p
The customer service, yes. I agree, that is very valid and should be known about before buying. And I really wish there was more transparency on things, sure. But.. for now, yea, i get it.
Actually, yea, you're right. That happened to me on another game called Kenshi, where I saw some posts about how difficult it was, how unfair the game was to the player and it was impossible to progress, and I said "nahh, it can't be that bad". Sure, the game kicked my a**, but I absolutely loved every second of it, and keep trying to go back, but poe2 sunk its claws into me and wont let go lol
Why? Ten cents is also garbage.
Honestly, what mainstream game company isn't garbage ?
And by Mainstream i mean multi billions company, not the "indie dev next door".
