When are they going to add new Skills and Weapons?

I'm kind of bored already and there's not much to play for. Why are they taking so long?

I don't care about any of that. This is also my alt account which I can link my actual account if it would mean he would actually implement a decent response and entity into the topic.

New weapons already in the game. Swords, axes, flails, daggers, traps, mines, pretty much everything except claws.
My best guess is some will be more than just collectibles when the new league launches. New gems to go with them as well.

Aren't they impossible to equip/play with until their associated classes get released ?

They don't do ♥♥♥♥, they have 0 stats and are all unique only, no rares or any other varients yet.

Pretty much all white weapon types and some uniques are in the database (you can see them in poe2db). They just have 0% drop chance for now because they would be useless even if we looted them. The dropable uniques are just teasers.

The missing things are skills. Without weapon skills you can't use the weapons. So until they make an appearance in the database all we can do is wait for news from the devs.

From how the devs communicated so far, they'll likely rrlease new weapons along with new classes.

We know the next classes should be huntress and druid (which should have been in the ea release but got remove just before the launch in favor of the witch and ranger) so the next weapon should be the spear along with druid caster weapons (it's not claws, most likely staffs, wands and shapeshift new caster weapon type).

Just to clarify

Yes, its only uniques that are dropping for these new weapon types.
Most don't have stats and the flavor text on some just say "Coming soon"
You can equip some, even attack with some, but other than that they do nothing.
And as mentioned above, the base items do exist in the game files. They just don't drop.

This could mean nothing. But I feel if they are willing to patch these items into the live game files, it means they are just about ready to get released.
Most likely with the new league.

what do you mean: "what's taking so long". its been like 2 months, of which ~3 weeks were chistmas/newyears break.
and in that time there were 3 somewhat big patches.

i feel their dev time is pretty quick.

new skills&weapons will come with the new classes.
huntress and druid are i think the furthest in development, so Spears and claws/primal? with it's according skills will come with them.
if i had to guess it's gonna be a month or so from now. but until they announce something all we can do is wait.

To be fair i'm bored too... I just want axes so i can go: BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD.
But thats a bit hard without axes for the rage.
