Divine orb inflation
Why has the price of Divine orbs suddenly sky-rocketed these couple of days? Did something happen? I can find no natural explanation for this.

It's the same with PoE 1, more people hit end game, more people find broken builds, etc.

1:200 was high, but never uncommon.

We're missing a lot of content and uniques, so the market will definitely improve over time, right now there's really not too many chase items, and there's no crafting bench to dump currency on.

Exalted orbs are practically useless because crafting is pointless. So as they become more and more useless, they decline in value.

Wildly untrue.

Spoken like someone who simply doesn't understand how to craft.

Then explain why divines are now high value but exalts are trash, as compared to mid league.

Cause people see wild builds on youtube, then they go "I wanna make that", so the price of these items skyrocket, everyone wants these items, so everyone wants more divines, meanwhile the items that go for exalts are just free to grab by more proficient players who understand they don't need bis. ;p

There's also layers of RMT in this, people will take shortcuts to get these items, which makes the prices rise more.

To me, the rising price of divines is kindof an opportunity.
Economies are complex man, we're dealing with a lot of systems, some legit, some not, and probably something close to a million people actively trading ?

This has nothing to do with meta builds and everything to do with divine value itself. Even non-meta trash builds are expensive because those items cost divines.
wipe the servers, its out of controll already. then remove trading!

fallout from all of the item duplication followed by price fixing from RMTers. Items like temporalis and mirrors which were duplicated are finally rising back to their original valuation, where they were on the market for wildly cheap not long ago. All it takes is an RMT group to buy up the supply, then make tons and tons of profit. Then start buying out the supply of divines and whatever else, and artificially inflate the market for more profit. economy is cooked. anyone who thinks this divine inflation is natural is coping

divine are kinda equal to exalts in the first, and exalts in the second are kinda equal to chaos in the first, the value of exalts and in demand items have always trended up around fotm builds for a decade every league, that's why there's leagues. :P

That's also why no one takes standard seriously. I'm not sure what the problem is here, and how we should fix it.

I am curious where is this going though. I didn't play poe1 in ea (not sure if it had one), but how long the inflation going to continue? Its getting near 250 exalts for 1div, when I started playing few weeks ago, it was near 100.

Nerf exalts drop rate into the ground. Or increase div rate drop. Without a new league or exalts sink, I am not sure how this can be fixed.

Even decent rares cost divines. Good jewelry is in divines. Gearing up warrior is super expensive with good res and rarity, even though it clears the slowest out of all classes. My warrior cost me many divines until I switched from hardcore into HCSSF.

I mean, it's pretty known that warrior is not working very good rn, I'm running monk and sorc np with like, 1 1/2 div each of gear, they both have something like 80~100% rarity too. Warrior not working good is I think attributable to EA. I haven't played it myself. ><

On the topic of exalts being worthless, it's kindof amazing, because I'm not afraid to roll gear, at least half of my gear is from rolling, most of the magic find gear is, cause that ♥♥♥♥ is expensive to buy lol, and for a reason. ><

Concerning jewelry, I got polcirklen for like, 3 ex ? quality already applied, and I got a fairly decent ring with rarity and two flat damage rolls for like 20ex for my monk. ;o

Because we need a Auction House. Too many people using exploits farming things causing the increase in Div Markets.
