POE2 Reset
Hello all.

I've heard from a few friends that POE2 is going to have a full reset soon. Is there anywhere I can confirm if this is true or not? Not really feeling like grinding if all progress is going to reset in a week or two.

No reset is happening. Once the game launch, all the early access characters will be put into early access league. However, players will mainly be playing in the standard league.

It's probably just miscommunication between you, although deliberate misinformation can't be ruled out. Do reread their statements to see if you should consider dropping them from your list of trustable sources.

There were statements in interviews about a new set of leagues starting in the future when new balance or content is released (classes or acts etc). That however doesn't mean the old ones won't be continuing. No timeframe was given.

Could be in a month, could be 2-6 months. We know there will be a reset at some point during early access. Definitely not in a week or two though. I'm sure they'd give us a heads up if it was that soon.

Good to know, I think my buddy must have misunderstood when the reset was going to happen and I didn't know the characters were going to be going into early access leagues which is nice.

I think he probably just phrased it wrong, as there won't be literal resets, but starting a new league can be seen as one, unless you don't want to get some of the new content/updates I assume.

They literally said there will be a new league in EA, meaning it will just be like POE1. Everything starts fresh and you cannot use any old characters or gear. All old characters and loot will live on in standard ea league though, but 99% of players don't play standard once leagues come out.

Im 100% sure a reset is coming soon, the next major content update will pretty much require it along with turfing the broken market.

Its why Im laughing at the idiots paying real money for ingame items and services ...its EA nothing and I mean nothing! you have now will be of any use later.

But hey who am I to stop fools being parted with their money.

The issue here is terminology and how people understand it


There is no reset.

A new league will start fresh, all current chars will be kept around but on a seperate "legacy" league.


Everyone's screaming yelling and arguing and most are saying the same thing.


Its not a reset though. A new league fresh league will be created.


Words do mean things.

Call it whatever the heck you want, it matters not one bit.

You are also talking about the game going from EA to live, perhaps you need to get on the same page here .. they wont be keeping 0.1.1 characters when they do major EA updates that break things and change the database .. could you imagine just how broken that would be by the time they get to 1.0.

So yes there will very likely almost 100% be a full wipe and reset during EA.

I say bring it on, turf this broken market and wipe it clean.

They said what will happen will be like what happens with a regular POE1 league.
Everything that exists as is right now, will be moved to a "standard" league and the "reset" will be on a new league. It is EXTREMELY unlikely they will delete everything people have done so far.

There were actualy talks about "new league" with bigger balance patch when devs were justifying no nerfs of obviously OP things in 0.1.1
