Path of Exile 2

Path of Exile 2

Citadels
Not being to retry a citadel is the most anti gamer thing I have ever seen in my life.
225hrs to find 1 citadel and to die to a boss mechanic I only got to fight twice in the entire 225hrs ive played on PC is just wild.

Sorry I didn't perfect a boss mechanic I saw back at lvl 50 scaled to a T17 map.
Maybe Idk, let me TRY AGAIN.

Of all the things to do to players, this one has got to be the worst thing you could ever do ina video game.

"Hey you died to this boss, go farm 200+hrs so you can try again."

You want to be Dark Souls so bad and you can't even do the "You Died" correctly. 1/10

How do you manage to go 200 hours without a citadel? I see like 5 beams under the fog with 4 cleared already.

And why are you doing them on a T17? Crisis fragment drop chance scales with Waystone Drop Chance only.

Big difference. Being unskilled in this game has consequences and most people that suck get angry.
This is the dumbest take I have ever seen too.
Someone dying or failing a mechanic does not mean they suck. Idk what world you live in, but that would mean 100% of players suck. Everyone has died to SOME mechanic at SOME point. Even the best players in the world lose to something simple from time to time. So while I assume you aren't trolling, this actually seems like a troll, unless your IQ is just 2.

I was just doing it for loot drop increase, and to see if I could tbh.
And yes, there are NONE near where I spawned and it took me 341 maps to actually reach the one I found. I assumed because I am running t17s consistently thats where I am at, and that's what I should be running everything at. I actually didn't expect the map to just close, I figured it was like all other map locations and I just needed to use a new Waystone.

So I assume my RNG with Citadels is just bad since you said you got yours so much faster. I did fan out around and ive played well over 500 maps in total. But counting from the citadel to my starting map, its 341 spots.

Correct, but most learn from it, they don't go cry on the forums about it.

You've lost 1 citadel and you're making posts about things being anti gamer?

LOL. Absolutely PATHETIC.

You've got the attention you so badly crave but you're not getting a clown.
You are just bad at gaming period. I can see that clearly.

You also have no reading comprehension.

Shouldnt take a player nearly 400 maps to find 1 citadel and then lose it, and not be allowed to retry. That's actually something that should be fixed. People like you saying otherwise are probably the same people stuck on Cruel begging for help from bosses and coming here to act like you did something in the game.

Florida, that explains all of this.

Ill move along.

Not a word you're asying is true. You did not take 400 maps in one direction to get to one.

Lets say it is true, you ever stop to think for a second you and your method is the problem, not the game being anti gamer? So quick to jump to "game bad anti gamer" instead of, "maybe my method of approach isnt working, I should change it up!"

Trying to insult someones intelligence and then admitting to things like this is so ironic its not even funny.
You are the only person insulting anyones intelligence with these lame ass trolls. You hide your account then spy on accounts to insult people. Shows how low IQ you are. Enjoy that ban loser.

Why wouldn't it just close? If you die in a boss map you lose the boss and any other modifiers. A citadel is just a map, so the same would apply. Only difference is that you can't try to clear it again.

My shortest path is ~60 to the closes citadel. Around that one there's 5 more, so they definitely seem to spawn in clusters. On the other side of the map there's 2 more beams, so I assume there's another cluster.

Are you sure there are no beams in the fog around you anywhere (assuming you went in a straight line or something)?

You can readd boss maps with Towers, just so you know. The map spot itself doesn't close when you lose them. So if its just a map, it would follow the same way regular maps follow by your logic, and it doesn't. This is bad design.

As for your luck with Citadels, I am happy for you? It does nothing for me since my next one looks to be at least another 200 maps unless there is a gap that won't let me pass, which will add more maps to clear. My RNG for them is VERY VERY bad it seems.

200 hours in and ole boy doesnt know that you cant see that far ahead.

Are you doing EVERY SINGLE NODE on EVERY SINGLE SCREEN to progress forward? Thats.... about the least intelligent way to map possible.
Wow seems like someone doesn't know how to zoom out and move their camera on atlas.
There will probably be another citadel 5-10 maps away.

It's not a big deal.

Mad cause you don't understand the game.

There isn't, The closest one is across a body of water I can't cross, so I need to go up and then to the right. This will take me at minimum 50 maps if its just a straight line format, but as the rest of my map hasn't been that way, its looking closer to 200 minimum.

So no I am not mad because I dont understand the game, I am mad because its a bad design when the citadels are RNG placements. If it was fixed, this wouldn't be nearly as big of an issue.

Seems like you are the one who doesn't understand the game.

You cannot see beams 200 nodes away through the fog.... lol. 200 hours in and dude seems to think he can just pull random nonsense out of nowhere and people will take his word, when hes crying about losing 1 citadel....

This is comedic gold.
You can judge this by opening up the map in a circle and view how the map interacts.
Its like you haven't even gotten to endgame, or your RNG is so wildly great you don't have walls stopping you from going in a straight line. Amazing.

He has a bit of a point. You can only see citadels beams as far away as you can see towers. Even at max zoom that's less than a full screen.

Also, I found 2 more beams in the fog. They all seem to be roughly 60 - 80 maps from the start. I know the Atlas seeds are different for every player, but going 200+ maps without a Citadel sounds very unlikely.

Yup you caught me. 610 hours played and I've got no idea. None.

We should all listen to the guy whining over a a death in a citadel though, for sure.
So far everything you have said is false, so the hours played would also be false since you are hiding your account. Id actually be shocked if you had more then 200hrs in.

610hrs of gameplay means 25.5 days worth of playing, So since the game has been out for what 47 days? that would mean you have played every day for 10-14ish hrs a day just to hit that number. Meaning you have no life at all. Interesting.
kekkuli Jan 22 @ 12:53am
No big deal, they are all over. Unless you're dumb enough to just stay close to the starting location of course.
tolshortte Jan 22 @ 12:55am
didnt Darthmicrotransactions show how insanely random Citadels are? he showing screens worth of mapping with no citadels.

are people saying this isnt the case cuz reasons? lol. i know the devs said they were going to increase frequency, but still sounds very possible. plus, initially there was a base amount of mapping outwards to spawn citadels to begin with.
