Texture & anisotropic filtering issues

I know the game looks better than what I'm seeing. I can't get the graphics textures looking better and the anisotropic filtering looks really bad even at 16X. Switched from AMD to Vulcan, which allowed me to up the textures to "High". (Prior to that it was locked on "Medium" and changing the config file did nothing.) The textures are just ok now. The ani-filtering is the big thing - Just looks abysmal - Like original D2.
I was having the crash issue on start up but the PoEUncrasher and BES seems to have fixed that. Any help would be appreciated. I just don't have the energy or time to dedicate days to figuring this out (like I did decades ago - heck, I even enjoyed the challenge back then.)
