Path of Exile 2

Path of Exile 2

No sound effects
While wandering around the world, sound effects disappeared after pressing some keyboard shortcut. These key combinations are not in the settings. For example, I discovered the combination by pressing “Alt+R” (opens a line with information about fps, gpu and cpu). What combination to return sound effects?

Check the sound mixer next to the windows clock and see if its not muted by accident.

The music in the game is present, just no sound effects. For example, when using spells, etc.

Nothing in the ingame settings that has fx disabled?

I think it was some sort of hidden key combination, since only the sound effects were turned off

Unfortunately I was looking at those lists. To the parts of the game poe 1 and poe 2
Just check your audio options in-game and on windows. Sometimes the audio gets bugged in-game especially in crowded/juicy maps, but I don't think that's the issue.

Maybe it'll help someone. Maybe it's a random pattern. After restarting explorer.exe process, I got sound effects in the game again. (without restarting the game itself). It's very, very strange

if it is a toggle command a reset or edit of the config file could help
[Your Documents Folder]\My Games\Path of Exile 2

this should be the file

poe2_production_Config

this is what is written in the file related to sound at a working installation

[SOUND]
master_volume2=100
sound_effects_volume2=100
ambient_sound_volume2=100
music_volume2=100
dialogue_sound_volume2=100
item_filter_sound_volume2=100
reverb_enabled2=true
mute_in_background=false
channel_count=high
chat_alert_sound_volume=100
cinematic_sound_volume=100

interesting would point to a partial crashed audio driver connection with lost audio channels
