Loot & Resistances help/info?

I'm casually playing standard as sword and board warrior, and I just got into Act 2.

My armor blocks 70% of damage, but my resistance is non-existent. These thunder mobs are shredding me. I know that I need more resistance, but the majority of the loot that drops isn't even for my class, and when it does drop it's not good and has no resistance modifiers.

So I'm having a loot issue.

I check vendors at every level up to see what gear they have that I can purchase and replace with but none of it is any good.

I've tried using 'stones' to add modifiers to gear to try and 'roll' my own gear, but it's been un-lucky and disheartening.

I'm tired of being shredded by magic, and sometimes instant gimped.

Anyone have any suggestions? Also, I'm level 22 and my one handed mace is from like level 13, but nothing at 22 is better than that mace?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

if you not playing in SSF, you can also go trade with other people for the item you want/need.

In case you havent already, you can also socketing your equipment with +12 element resistance rune.

Acts 1-3 standard/normal are admittedly hard for the warrior. It'll get better, ironically, in Cruel mode. My advice for you:

1. Don't just focus on armour, sacrifice some of it for resistances. Even a single digit +% helps. Shuffle around your gear to meet each boss/area giving you trouble. Use charms to supplement resistances.

2. You MUST learn to dodge and move in battle, especially against boss big attacks. Agility as a player is important. When you can access the skill, get Leap Slam. This is a life saver.

3. Over-level liberally.

4. Crafting - find good blues with the stats you need, and craft (i.e. augment or exalt). A high damage weapon will take you far.

5. Look carefully at the your skills gems and find that little arrow that opens up the details panel. Make sure you are selecting the right weapon set for the skills you're using.

6. Wait a few more days for the upcoming patch.

Good luck, hang in there. Warrior is still my fave class and I'm still having lots of fun with it.

Lol, wtf does that even mean? Another Diablo 3-4 player who thinks you're supposed to only equip legendaries and everything else is just trash? What exactly isn't for your class in items dropped?

I haven't played many 'attack' skills, and almost no melee skills, so listen to that guy up there ^ but the patch should help tone some of these guys down so hopefully you have better luck this weekend. :) Feel free to ask on General chat for help if you run into a map you just can't clear... there's not much reason to invest too heavily in your character before you hit maps. :)
