Spam Whispers are getting out of control.
I can't got 5 minutes without getting spammed by hfdjklashdfkljshflksda about some rmt orbs buying ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. GGG Please do something about this it takes away from the games experience to be spammed like this, but I also want to be able to use trade which means I can't just disable whispers. Please do something about the bot spammers.

Well they dont ban EM, they dont RMT'ler because IDK.... really sad

turn off notification or report and ignore them

I didn't get any spam in private messages till yesterday. And then all of a sudden I was bombarded by that ♥♥♥♥, maybe a dozen within few hours.

I'm curious if the amount people get spammed is relative to how much they type in global. There isn't really an easy way to pull player names in bulk in order to spam them. The easiest way would probably be farming/harvesting them from chat via client.txt.
I guarantee they're just scrubbing the trade website. Because I've not been typing in global for days. I just have some stuff listed for sale, that's it.

So SSF is looking more and more the only way to enjoy the game ? I mean i'm fine with the trading system and currency etc ...

But if you start selling items and then get spammed every hours by bot sending scam link, that a huge turn off.

Am playing fine, will update when I have actually put stuff up for sale, there's ways to deal with this until the hype dies down and the RMT market is less hot, but yes, it sucks. ><

Even on PoE1, I've had items for sale every season, and it never happened, which makes me think it's a hype thing.

rn rmt market must be extremely hot because there's a lot of tourists on the game that want immediate gratification. :P

Simple chat filters like "if string contains X word, don't display it" might help, easy to implement.

game is infested with the criminal bot cartel that steals PII and CC info through RMT and phishing. based on the horrible grammar some of the 24/7 white knights have i am guessing they are part of the same criminal cartel to defend this garbage and lure more victims.

they pull the exact same stuff on wow classic and the useless devs do nothing about them. unbelievable

Yeah I thought of a couple ways it could be and that was one. It's just slower and more annoying to setup. But I guess if they're playing the long game it would be worth the extra effort.
I think it's actually very easy. API for this seems to be quite open, since there's third party trading overlays. I'm not sure if they pull data from the official trade, but it seems like they do. In which case collecting names from that is trivial.

The API has several limits that would need to be worked around. You can't just spam endless queries.
Here's another idea. All those one exalt items on the market that seems too good to be true. We know they are bots manipulating the market. What if they also just collect names of everyone that whispers them. Most of us have gotten no responses from cheap listings, some days you'll get nothing after messaging dozens of them.

For anybody new, this troll was already banned twice here (probably more than that if we're being real) and as far as I know, his primary function in life is to sh*tpost on the POE2 forums.

Look at the post history, it's a disaster, it's like a masterclass in trolling. Just block, all he does is rage bait and it's really sad.

Bro I hope you get some help, I dunno what this game did to hurt you so badly, must be a Warrior main.
