Path of Exile 2

Low FPS - Restart fixes it
I observed some strange behaviour. As good as everytime I start PoE 2, it runs at ~40FPS. I then restart the system, start up PoE2 and it runs at 60FPS without issues.

This also happens when I start the system for the first time that day. Like:
Sunday -> Start system -> laggy PoE2 -> Restart system -> 60FPS PoE2
Tuesday -> Start system -> laggy PoE2 -> Restart system -> 60FPS PoE2

So it's not like the system is already overloaded with dozens of background tasks or so. I already reinstalled Windows 11. I also have the newest drivers. Can someone help me find a solution please?

My system:
Ryzen 5 7600X cooled by AIO
4070 Super
32GB 5600MHz DDR5 RAM

Playing on DLSS Quality, 4K

1440p will perform much better in my case. I'm using a 7800x3d and rtx 4070 ti super, and I run in 1440p and it never drops below 150 fps or so. I''ve had good results, and it looks great.
OP im curious wich drivers do you use? the game ready or studio drivers?

same issue !

no restart : 40-55 fps stuttering
with restart: 144 fps fixed ;-)

My system:
Ryzen 9 7950X3D cooled by AIO
RTX 4090
64GB 6000MHz DDR5 RAM with CL30

newest nvidia game ready driver

This is so strange. How can we fix that?
It's some sort of "memory leak". Could be something like shaders cache not emptying properly. Just speculating.

There's no fix except logging out and back in the game.

It doesn't matter which rsolution I use. It's on 1080P, 1440P and 4k the same.

Do you even press F1 and check your shaders?

Are we talking about game restart or full PC restart? Never thought of that! Went through forums, people talking about bad optimisation, patch needed etc. After all that fixes I`ve tried people suggested, a simple game restart will do?

Full system restart

Thought it was only game restart. It's a serious issue if you need to restart your whole system.
