No joke mate check your Ram sticks. You got 4 16's I'm guessing. Start with one and see what happens. 16 GB ram won't hurt your PC while you test.
If it fails on 1 stick try another stick in that same slot. If it fails again go back to the first tested stick and try it in a different slot. If it happens again it's not the slot. Continue checking sticks. If you start with a stick and the game doesn't crash and a another stick in (restart etc). If you get threw all the sticks and your still crashing then it's not Ram but if 3 sticks are fine but 1 caused you to crash remove that stick.
I had a Ram issue and removed a stick. Did some testing. Found the bad stick haven't crashed since

PitateSoftware mentioned the issues with 13/14 Gen Intel CPUs. I’d highly recommend following Ih8myjob’s advice on this one. Act on this asap while it’s still a fresh issue.

the problem started 2 weeks ago
then i had 32 gb of ram,
bought 2 new sticks ,
tried every slot with new and old sticks , its no difference so im using 64gb now
its gives me a perfomance boost in other games so after testing i dont think its the ram

110% its your bios man... and the longer you wait, the more damage is being done, even sitting here typing on steam.

my old bios version (and only used bios) is 1662 from 12.08.24

That one fixed some of the issues but not all. The 0x129 microcode update was the start. Its entirely possible, and probable, its still damage, even with that, the REAL fix came with 0x12B Microcode update, which for you, assuming you have asus with that bios number.

https://rog-forum.asus.com/t5/intel-700-600-series/intel-sept-2024-update-on-instability-reports-on-intel-core-13th/td-p/1030853 Not sure what model you have, but heres a starting point, and more proof what I'm saying is accurate.

They hade a VMIN voltage issue, which allowed the CPU to request and receive way too much power, even if it was limited through the bios.

thanks for you tips. i have heard about this issues, but sadly appears i did not research it enough. What do i say to the 3rd party retailer if im sending it back? bought it late august

You're having stability issues in relation to the 13/14 gen bios issues. You get random lock ups, random app crashes, and random restarts. Nothing you do can replicate it on demand, its all entirely at random.

If they give you any crap at all, you're dealing with a crap company. Any company worth their salt know and wont hassle you at all.

Thank you, i appreciate your advice

do OCCT ram test, both tests actually, start with 30min each.

If you slapped 2 more sticks in there and enabled XPM, that's probably not stable at all.

getting 2 different RAM kits to run stable at the same timing is a nightmare.. you'd have been better off buying 2x32 and replacing your old 2x16.

easy test if the CPU is broken:

get the tool OCCT

run a cpu+RAM test with this settings (the other settings can be used with the default)

dataset=large
mode=extreme
loadtype=variable
thread settings=core cycling
type=cycle trough all cores
cycle interval=10 milliseconds

check if core+ram errors appear, if yes the CPU is toast

so far i know it depends a lot of the in unse motherboard if the CPU will last longer after the last microcode patch, NZXT motherboards for examble ignore the microcode and use it's own extreme OC profile and you will have the same problem again.

anyway the microcode is just a placebo at all, microcode can not solve a quantum effect related issue, it can only reduce it to a minimum what means this CPUs burn out even with the default profile set in bios it just takes longer till complete fail.

AAAAND you're entirely wrong. 3 minutes on google would have stopped you from posting any of this.

yeah google is the best technician on this planet.

i see more than once dead 14 gen intel during my work every week and i work in this area.

Id encourage you to pursue further training and education then, and to stop giving advice.

At best you're help desk.

haha, people like you are the worst advisers. You don't know me and you don't know how long I've been working in this field or how many degrees I have.
The fact is that what is officially being spread about the Intel problem is simply a lie (everyone who knows the details about material science on nanostructures knows that). I could explain it to you but that would be beyond your understanding.
do you know what this is?

Nvida said there next patch will fix the CTD. However either dev teams from GGG or nvida knows what what or where this bug is at, but its a card bug. And they also dont know why there new update fixd it, or so they claims.

Atleast if your crash is the nvida card CTD and not some other crash.

Saying the microcode is a placebo demonstrably shows he does not.

Intel acknowledged it DIRECTLY, which IVE LINKED.... lol.

Either he's got multiple accounts, or literally ran and told someone to come to his aid. Comical all the way around.

yeah the company that screwed it up will tell you the truth, yeah how high is your IQ ? not high enough to understand this world.

correct

i only posted how to check if the CPU is toast, one of the reliable tests to show a broken intel CPU without discuss anthing why the game crash.

I'm not even sure if there is anything you can do really. Alot of the fixes are placebo.
Its more or less a wait and see, and not playing a game that could break/brick a pc.
