Path of Exile 2

Path of Exile 2

Ultra fast manadraining mob
I'm already trying to get over the fact that mobs respawn when you die (stupid AF) but there have been tons of rares that just insta drain all your mana with an aura, and move stupid fast so you cant get away, and you can't fight them cuz no mana. When does the game become fun? I have collectively 6k hours in PoE1. Tons of fun there, but this just isn't it. 40 deaths by act 2 isn't fun. Tried every class, monk is the one I got the furthest on, and now at the beginning of act 2, I can't do ♥♥♥♥.

EDIT: Sorry, If I go at a snails pace, and fight like 2 mobs at a time, it's fine. Not because My damage is low, but because I die instantly from getting swarmed and being unable to move. So they lowered the combat speed for the player, but kept the mobs lightning fast.

Game becomes fun when you do the mechanic of fights correctly and stop dying cause your bad. The mana drain aura only works if your literally running away from the mob. If you stand in melee range of it, it does nothing.
Skill Issue
I literally discovered this mechanic the 2nd time I encountered it. As the first time (running away) didn't help me.

when i see those mobs with that aura i always stay inside the circle close to the mob so it wont drain my mana and hp

Drains me regardless. I'm melee so I have to be inside the circle anyway.

If you have 6k hours in POE1 and are having issues here, man, I hate to say but the problem isnt the game.

I have like 300 hrs in poe1, and now 500 in this, and its not difficult to figure out.

I dont want to be THAT guy, but with that many hours in games that are so similar, its for sure is a skill issue.

The games have skill gems and a skill tree. That's where the similarities end. The combat is worlds different. This ♥♥♥♥ is monster hunter style combat animations, with Dark Souls dodge rolling simulator.

Its really not, but justify your lack of skill/awareness and mechanic learning capabilities all you want.
Yes, because PoE 1 had floaty combat animations, and the ability to cast while moving, and having to literally dance with your character.

Doesn't matter. I didn't pay for beta access (well, inherently I did) so I can just ignore the game. I checked it out because I could. PoE doesn't scratch the itch anymore and PoE2 isn't for me. If I wanted to play Elden Ring or Sekiro, I would just load those up. Don't want that ♥♥♥♥ in my ARPGs.

Ill humor you and say you're right, that still isnt changing the fact you're just not learning a VERY simple mechanic, which is the justifying factor on it being entirely a skill issue.

As I just stated, the beta cost me no direct money, so no loss for me.

I dont care if its a loss for you or not, you're complaint boils down to you being bad. Nothing more, nothing less.
Sure thing, buddy. Game is perfect and has zero issues.

Its an objective fact my guy. Your chief complaint is a mechanic thats so easily circumvented its not even funny, yet you are so incapable of learning it you took to a forum to cry about it.

You couldn't figure it out with EVERY class, per your statement.

Let that sink in.

You've self identified as just being horrible at the game. Its nothing to be ashamed of, and thats not an insulte, its just a matter of fact.

What I self identified as is not spending anymore money with GGG. I enjoyed PoE1 thoroughly, and the money spent reflects that (probably over reflects) but PoE2 is where the buck stops. I promise you, there are some of us that have spent enough money to make an impact.

Unless you have spend 100's of thousands of dollars, I promise you you have not made any impact they will even notice is gone.

Most of the players spend the bare minimum for some stash tabs. Tell me that if all the players that spent thousands stopped spending it wouldn't make an impact. Well, it wouldn't now because Tencent.

You need to go melee with fast mana drain mob.
Their aura is a ring, not a full circle, it only affects you a midrange.
stop helping a guy that is hellbend on crying instead of learning to get INSIDE a circle. he has tried evry class( for 5 min i bet) then spits nonsense bout darksoul leave him be he special

I didnt say that, I said you not spending wont be missed.

If 1000 players stopped, it wouldnt be noticed.

You are a spec of sand in the desert with some false sense of importance. Just because you're mad/bad/quitting (you wont) doesnt mean EVERYONE else feels the same.

MOST people can figure that mechanic out.

Especially since most players that spend over a 100$ are probably those that can figure out how to deal with mechanics. :P
I have serious doubt sbout your 6k hours in PoE cuz of lack of skill. Its VERY rare to meet unstopable, fast manadrainer in PoE2. They are much rarer than ultrafast+unkillable rares in PoE, so if you had no problem spending 6k hours in PoE with them, mana drainers should be no problem.

Be glad they heavily nerfed flask draining, cuz meeting manadrain+flaskdrain was just instant "You lose". Now you can just facetank them while drinking flasks.
