plasma blast scatter shot can deal very varried damage .sometimes 60k sometimes 150k+ . i think monsters have some sort of critical resists
If you're going to be making a crit build you want to use a weapon or spell with high base crit. Fireball with only 7% probably ain't it when there's spells with double that. Though I've yet to level a caster, so who knows what you can cook up.
Wording "increased" is multiplier of the base. And its additive. It works across the board, not just for crit chance.
So 90% increased crit chance means base-crit-chance x 1.9.
Bloodmage has ascendency node that sets base crit for spells to 15%.
Its still weird to se fireball as fire feels underwhelming compared to ice/lightning as it doesnt offer CC.
Edit: oof, that's 6 points into the ascendancy though. Kind of a big commitment.
So it's pretty much maxed out.. there is one crit chance twig on the tree I dont have but that wont change it that much. So getting more than 60% crit is borderline impossible so far as I know.
Now getting a decent weapon with crit chance, crit dmg, atk speed and phy dmg on it.. thats the real problem lol.
To make it workable you really need a high base crit since everything is based off that.
Hexblast and DD with Blood Mage apparently works great too.
