Rolling is good for moving a short distance fast but getting up after it is slow. You cover longer distances faster by just running.. so for aoes try to run as much as you can before rolling at the last second. Trying to roll twice out of aoe is slower than just running out of it. Don't roll early for direct hits either, many enemies will just change the direction of their attack. Learn to do it at the last second.

Only roll when you have to, use normal strike, when the adds spawn use falling thunder on them when they bunch up.
Its a super easy fight. Just need to be methodical about it. Spamming flask is no good, only use it when you REALLY need it. There are clear audio cues when he slams hard, roll sideways to avoid the hits, or roll behind him.
