Does POE 2 reset?

i had no idea before i put almost 300 hours in that this game possibly resets? like a wipe, but i cant get a clear answer on this just someone saying leagues this leagues that like i know what leagues is. i just want to know if ive wasted my time or not

It only resets because its early access. The final version has 6 acts with no reset. Right now, we only have 3 acts, so it resets before you get to reach the final stage. I.e., in the final version there will be no cruel mode.

No. After this your character will stay in "standard" league. When new league comes out you need to level up new character. After that league ends that character is transfered to the standard league and cycle repeats.

When the game releases your current characters and inventories will get moved to an Early Access league, it will very likely become a dead league as everyone plays the full release in the seasonal leagues

so what i have now is permanent, but temporary leagues come and go and what you do in them you get to bring back to your long term permanent league? also thank you for genuine reply.

Seasonal Leagues add new mechanics and content to the game but you have to create a new character to play them. Your Stashes are not shared between Leagues, only between characters in the same League.

Your characters and Stash don't get deleted when a Seasonal League ends, they get moved to the Standard League. Sometimes new content from a Season is added to the Standard League but usually 'after' the Season ends.

Early Access will be it's own League when the game launches v1.0 so Early Access characters will 'not' be moved to the v1.0 Standard League. We don't know if the Early Access League will sometimes get new content like the Standard League does.

They plan to have at least one Seasonal League during Early Access, which they might be announcing later today. If they do, Early Access "Seasonal" League characters will be moved to the everlasting Early Access League once the Early Access Seasonal League ends.

So, to answer your concern, everything we are doing now will have been pointless once v1.0 launches. Seasonal Leagues are all that really matters and Standard League to some extent for some people. You will not lose these characters but they will be stuck in an old League that hardly anyone will play on.

You need to do some research.... They have said on multiple occasions on multiple platforms that they will be in EA for a minimum of 6 months but more than likely longer

What we have now will end up in an "Early Access" mode, but when the game releases there will be also League mode and a Standard mode. So the release version will feature three modes, but the Early Access mode will most likely be dead because its pointless to play it further. So yes, you are wasting your time right now farming stuff. See this EA version as more of a sandbox game to test stuff out and not play seriously.

jonathan said yesterday, the updating happening this week will be some changes to the game and maps etc.
but soon, people think maybe feb. there is a big balance patch coming, this also comes with a new league. so meaning the league you play on now youll keep, but there will be a new one to play on, with an econemy wipe too! so everyone starts fresh on this new league if you want

roll on new league soon! so we can get the market place back up and running as normal
