Path of Exile 2

Path of Exile 2

Am I doing something wrong or is it intentional that I keep running out of stones?
If I do something wrong I need advice. If not, I'll be surprised. It's getting boring to constantly grind in T1...

Waystones? You'll want to increase the rarity of them to improve sustain of them. You shouldn't run maps with less than 2 modifiers, if you have enough regal orbs you may even want to regal your maps.

Use towers and tablets to boost maps, more mechanics and or higher levels of maps will usually be beneficial to map sustain and allow you to get higher tier maps more often. If your build can handle it, you'll want to stack many modifiers from maps with many modifiers from your waystones. The increase in monsters and waystone drop chance is immense.

Bosses are good sources for maps, if you can, prioritize doing those maps.

You'll even want to put your atlas passives towards the goal of getting waystones, increase chances, tiers and getting more monsters.

I'll implement it, thanks. At the moment it feels a lot like "batteries not included" :)
wdym grinding t1. whats the best u can get on t1 , maybe a t3 here and there ?!

If you did not know already, you can "combine" 3 maps of the same tier for one map of the next tier. If all three are blue, or even yellow, so will be the result.

Also, it helps to check on Doryani regularly (after each level-up) and buy maps from him, while i was grinding 10/10 T1 maps when arriving at endgame, I made a few levels, and could buy several T3-5 maps for going forward.

Other than that, basically all what The_Driver said. Although, regarding bosses, you should probably try to juice them up as much as you can (as long as you are confident in killing them), so if you got a good waystone, you might want to save it for when you got those turret boni unlocked before you do the boss.

don't die
It can be a bit rough in the beginning but once you get your atlas up it makes a huge difference. At level 93 I don't even bother picking them up anymore unless they are T15's. Yeah, you really do start to get that many.

Make sure you are juicing them up, every time. Well at least to rare status anyway.

Also prioritize towers and especially maps with bosses. Boss maps will always give you more waystones. And just use T1 stones on towers and in-between points that have no modifiers until you get your stockpile up.

Once you get into the flow of it and start filling out your atlas you will have more than you know what to do with.

I ran out of waystones and havent logged in since. What a complete failure of a mechanic.

Yeah, the whole game is designed under the assumption that everyone playing has spent 15,000 hours in PoE1. Just like in the interview where the guy is talking about some of the complaints and how he isn't able replicate them (pretty sure he was talking about map sustain)...well I guess that would make sense since he is probably the foremost expert on how the game and its systems actually work, so of course he would know how to best go about any given thing.

is solved! The_Driver's advice helped. It makes it riskier, but you get more waystones and the loot is better.
Thanks for the help. you are really great!
