When i hit the windows key while playing the game the search bar overlays the game normally. i tried 3 other games and it still works normally but POE2 doesnt it minimizes the whole game to the taskbar and it super annoying when trying to look up a video or even switch monitors while in game.
Enable game mode through software and disable the windows key (if you have a keybaord like Razer/Logitech/Corsair etc)
i don't want to disable the windows key because i use it a lot while gaming. i just need it to work how it normally worked 3 days ago. i tried the game mode option through settings and it didnt work
i don't like playing in windowed full screen but when in that mode it works and the game doesn't get minimized to the taskbar. thanks tho
This means the other games you were playing were in borderless window mode. Many games default to that mode. Most games call it Borderless Window mode, but some games have other names for it such as windowed fullscreen or fullscreen window. Fullscreen mode (sometimes called exclusive fullscreen) works as you are experiencing, where unfocusing that window (windows key, alt+tab, click another window, etc) will minimize the program.
If you want your game to be fullscreen, but you don't want the game to minimize when you tab out, then you put the game on borderless window mode.
Changed it to windowed full screen and that fixed, Thanks. Im just wondering how it got set to that.
