Does the waystone levels determine what the merchant will have?

Cause I am not pumping my LvL 15 Rare Map on the Merchant Node if it's not going to help me at all.

Then I will just plug a T1

+1. Yes, using higher level maps for the Merchant allows it to have higher level uniques.
This of course does NOT guarantee he will have those higher level uniques. But there is a small chance.

Yes. it determines the itlvl.

Must've been lucky then. Plugged a normal T1 map and still got good Unique to choose from
