Eye of winter possible bug
I've noticed that support gems that change the amount of projectiles for Eye of Winter have no effect.

I am able to slot the support gems that add extra projectiles: scattershot and the one that creates a ring of projectiles occasionally on cast (can't remember the name).

However, theses support gems have no effect on eye of winter.

The two support gems work on all of my other projectile skills.

As in the description for EoW, "Modifiers to number of projectiles only apply to the final spiral", so does that happen? Or are you expecting to see it happening the moment you cast it?

They both work fine, and I didn't have them but figured I'd check anyway. I think you're possibly expecting a LOAD more projectiles, and as above, from the first blast to the last. This is not the case.

If you watch carefully (and it's a bit awkward to catch it), you can apply each of these support gems and they both do what they are support to:

1) Scattershot - Adds two projectiles, so the last shot goes from 8 to 10 projectile shards. Hard to count them and I can't be bothered to try to screen grab and count them, but you can tell it's increased if you watch when it's slotted and when it's not.

2) Wildshards (which I assume is the one you mean) - It adds another 8 projectiles in a circle...at 20% chance. So randomly, every 5th shot or so (but it isn't every 5 remember), you will see a bigger blast of 16 projectiles, not just the 8.

The two together will make it 10 and (sometimes) 18 projectiles, on the last shot.

Huh, i see. That's...a bit underwhelming.
But not bugged. Thanks for clearing it up.

It looks like all the support gems that affect projactiles don't affect the initial eye of winter projectiles, but only the ones that come out of the spell after it's been cast.
