Path of Exile 2

Need a little guidance on stat lines
i recently got an armour piece that i think is godly, and just wanted to know what specific godly lines to chase for in armour (specifically defenses and defense combinations from prefixes)

T4 line
+24 armour
+18 evasion
+32% armour/evasion
T3 line
+47 armour
+46 evasion

it gave me a massive boost to my defenses, and im really happy because im SSF and really needed this luck, but what are these lines traditionally called? should i be looking for these lines in other gear?

i know i should be stacking ES, but im not following any guides or meta builds and strictly going off whats around the mercenary passives and what i enjoy using

generally, you're looking for a flat increase to your main defense type (armor, evasion, energy shield), a percentage increase to that defense type, life, and at least one good resistance. A hefty stun threshold increase is not bad either.

For boots the most important stat is movement speed. movement speed is critical in so many boss fights and improves your overall survivability a ton. NEVER change to a different pair of boots unless they have good movement speed, 20%+. 15% movement boots isn't too bad for the very early game, and 10% is better than nothing, but not much.
i know i want a flat and percentage increase, but my T4 line example confuses me. why is there half/half of flat mixed with percentage? can i also see other extra stats like max hp mixed with one line and how is that determined? my helmet for example has %armour/evasion with +max mana in one line, why?
Check https://poe2db.tw/us/Body_Armours_str_dex#ModifiersCalc the BaseLocalDefencesAndDefencePercent group offers both flat and increased changes to both stats. They just do, don't question it. You rolled T4, so "Warrior's".

You separately rolled a T3 mod "Flexible" from another family, "BaseLocalDefences".

What lines? Add screenshot. Armour is bad in this game, so unless you are a titan you should never get armour as there are better things than it always. Even as a titan the armour is not great.

Usually one of th emost important stats are resistances, as you want to somehow get to 75% for all your elemental resistances. And then Max HP is also really valuable. Armor is sadly quite weak in general. and if you want to focus on ES, evasion or armor you usually want to also focus on it on your passive skill tree as without those tree bonuses it's usually not worth it to also focus a lot on them on your equipment.

i feel like you dont need to worry about resistances until you get to maps. i've been doing just fine stacking rarity and decent attack prefixes instead. i know armour isnt great, but im playing the class as if thats how its intended and patiently waiting for a fix, but currently was curious what those lines i listed were called and if they were technically the best in terms of increasing total defense of the item

I honestly have no idea what a Line is supposed to be. Though I do know of modifier tiers. And I guess what you posted up there does indeed seem to be a tier 4 and a tier 3 modifier. The tier 3 modifier is called Flexible and the T4 modifer is called Warrior's, I think in the ALT view it should also show you their name if you hover ovr the T3 and T4.(not like their names ar really important) In general, the higher the tier the higher the bonuses the modifier gives to you (btw, in PoE1 it's the opposite, there tier 0 is the best)

is there a website that lists these line names or a complete list of what prefixes/suffixes can appear on certain items?
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.
