I mean it is playable, otherwise there would be a mass amount of refunds, and as to customer support not answering, they're on holiday atm.

There is no problem with buying the game and accessing it. At least not for me, haven't had a single problem so far.
Customer support is most likely swamped with emails and takes about two weeks to answer.

Make an account on their website and bind it to your steam account before buying and there should be zero problems.

ok, i will
Hundreds of thousands of people playing without issues at any given time.
A tiny minority of people are having issues, most likely related to hardware / drivers / windows updates... but they are very loud on the forums.
Just remember that for every post about the game crashing here, there are 1000+ people playing without crashes.
I'm running an AMD Ryzen 7 5800 paired with an NVIDIA RTX 4080 Super, with all drivers, including the motherboard BIOS and chipset, fully updated. Despite the steps I have taken, the game freezes unless I manually adjust CPU affinity. After today's small update, it unfortunately won't load past the character screen. That said, I’ve genuinely enjoyed the game so far and trust the devs will address this issue soon—I’ve got some grinding to catch up on!

Play the game on the poe2 launcher from their website instead of steam. I had to deal with frustrating hard crashes with steam and had no crashes with the poe2 launcher.

they're not on holiday anymore. I'd imagine they have a disgusting amount of backlogged support tickets to get through so there is absolutely zero hope for a quick response if anyone has an issue right now.
Just bought the game and finished installing. The first startup didn't work after logging in with Steam so was already pulling up the community but it worked the second startup.
the game is in an awful state and is not worth playing. people paid to beta test this game and its hilarious, might as well wait until things are improved

Not sure if this is meant to be an 'own'? This is exactly what people did when they purchased an EA title.

That said, if you are not up for playing what is essentially a beta version of the game, that is quite solid in some areas, and less so in others, I would give it a few months.

Fingers crossed we get (somewhat) rapid updates and all the common concerns are addressed in the next month or two.
