same skill on weapon as one u using already

i got spark lvl 12 which i use but a staff i picked up gives spark at lvl 12 does that override the skill im using? or does it use the one that does the most dps?

They are 2 separate, distinct skills, that just happen to have the same name and base effects. Make sure you set the correct skill on your hotbar. Since hotbar doesn't show much info (yet), you may want to do this via skill tab. You can do this by opening the skills tab "g" and pressing on the icon of the skill you want to use then on the hotbar.
