HOW THE HELL DO I FIND WAYSTONES???

I just got to the endgame the other day and I have been having trouble finding waystones. I always upgrade them to magic to increase my drop chance but nothing seems to work and I'm out of waytones and can't play the game without having to pay a ridiculous amount of gold to Doryani. Please help.

Use alchs/regals on your boss maps and just do the lowest level maps for your current atlas subquest.

Build your atlas for item qaunt, waystone rarity, and pack size/more magic and rare mobs.

yeah but the gold required to do this is ridiculous. It shouldn't be this hard to find waystones. This is stupid.

Boss almost always guaranteed to drop that level or higher waystone. So in general if you
1. Dont die in boss fight and always use 150% and above rare waystone you will eventually have a surplus
2. Take all the nodes that give higher chance to drop higher level waystone.
3. Use the precursor tablet to boost the map further. Ritual will normally drop 1 map too in the reward pool but i dont recommend farming this. It is currently not balance unless your dps high enough to 1 shot buffed up enemy dont bother with this. It will guaranteed to kill you.

use your best *doable* waystones on boss nodes, the boss usually drops 1-3 waystones magic or rare of same-higher tier in my experience. use magic waystones of your current tier for most nodes between, alternately if you have enough move speed you can fast clear from the waypoint to the aggorat entrance if you're already above tier 4 it shouldn't take you a few minutes to get a few waystones of low tier from that to upgrade, sluggish i know but meh it's a last resort, also don't bother using good waystones on towers ever.

What you want to do is upgrade all waystones to rare, check ones who have increase quantity of item droops and rare monster amount and exalt them to max modifiers.
Use them for safest and best maps, so no towers or maps that might be to difficult for you and clear them completely.
Use rest of waystones for maps you do not like , or are just bad in general like towers.

Should I use rare ws only when fighting boss maps or should I also use them on other maps with other mods like corruption or delirium (except for towers and blank maps)?

I just recently got to T15 maps and ran out, been buying them on the trading post for 1 Exalt past few days, just here today they are starting to charge 2 exalts for T15 map.

5k - 9k per Waystone is ridiculous? Wat?

There's basically two builds for the Atlas:
1. spam Higher Tier Waystones and Pack Size
2. spam Waystone Modifier Effect

In both cases eventually get Waystone Quantity.

1. is easier 2. gives more Waystones, but makes maps harder.

Also once you get into higher tier Waystones and/or have more currency use Alchemy Orbs / Regals and Vaal Orbs on Waystones.

This build basically provides me with infinite Waystones (Essence nodes can be replaced with whatever you want, but they are good money):

Also, when you're doing T15s look up how to level your Map Boss tree. It makes bosses much harder, but at 8/10 they drop ~5 T15 maps per kill for me.

t10 below map keys are pretty cheap, about 15E per bag which is 60 keys, and I am sure you have 15 E orb, just buy 60 keys from other player, and all the key shortages will be over and as you play on, the lower level keys will eventually flood your stash tabs, and you will want sell to other players.

It all depends on your gear because eventually you will get rare waystone that is too dangerous to fight. So you need to kind of remember which map give which boss and only do those that you confident you can win. Dont waste your delirium on T10 and below. Putting Delirium on your T11 and above normally will turn to profit. Fragment is about 0.8-1.2 ex atm and you want to get at the very least 2-3 delirium fragment so ideally you want to do this later where you have more atlas point and can pump up those monster density.

I normally unlucky with Vaal so I hardly use it. More often it just give me a badroll. If you want to farm for currency exchange, ritual and delirium is the most profitable at the moment or you can do trial of chaos. Everyone is doing breach so breach fragment and catalyst are very cheap at the moment. Ritual precursor tablet also is the most expensive i believe as everyone is trying to get that king token.
