This game should of been a DLC and free to play.

I'm probably going to be that bad guy here, but I personally think that this game should of been free to play since they have micro-transactions for cosmetics and crap. Plus I hate how all these twitch streamers are hyping up games like this and then the game slowly dies down. Just like they did with Last Epoch. That's lame. Wudjo and Rax and Rhykker always hype up games and then the community just leaves . Last Epoch is slowly dying too. I play it. But PoE2 should be free like the first one was and a DLC not a stand alone.

It is basically free. You get 300 POE points to use in the shop. And if you are going to play this beyond the First Act, you really should use those 300 points for Stash tabs.

Once you make it into the endgame, you could probably spend another $30 on additional Stash tabs that vastly improve QOL.

Well, you're in luck, because it will be free when it actually releases.

I just think it will be pretty funny when all these F2P players wind up playing for 150+ hours and realise they want a few stash tabs (especially the currency, gem, and premium one for trading).

So they end up spending $30 for the stash tab QoL, which they would've had anyways if they bought EA access and got the 300 mtx coins from it.

You fail to mention that these streamers leave a game when there is no new content. LE is borderline abandoned where the devs need 6-12 months for meaningful updates.

They all play new diablo seasons.. they all play new arpg games.

There is no hype or whatever you call it. Hype is such a useless buzzword. There are new games/content people play.. and leave again to play the next game/content release.

Period.

I dont understand why people keep parroting hype here hype there.. gamers play the next big thing.. gamers leave after playing everything they like to do in said game. Continue playing the next game. Thats what humans do. Also.

You have zero idea how bloated the code of poe 1 was and how basic animations are. Doing a lot more with it would literally blow it up.

You are just salty that you cant afford the game everyone plays right now,

It is a paid "CLOSED ALPHA/BETA", currently in version 0.1.0e, to support GGG, to playtest and to give feedback.

PoE2 is going to be F2P in about 6+ Months ... when it reaches version 1.0x

When the game fully releases it will be free to play.. its not released yet.. its still in development..

As for Streamers moving to new games all the time.. well that is how they make their money.
