It's 2025 it's time to admit that we need daily quests
It's 2025 and its time for POE2 to join modern games and add some daily quests for us active players to be able to enjoy the game on a more casual basis.

Ode to Blueberry Muffin
In the mixing bowl
thou hast perfected praise.
Conforming to your mould,
your flaky crust begins to rise.

Steamy and buttery out of the oven,
you make my life chill,
when the morsel of butter enters the blueberry canyon
to have its fill

Chemically inducing nirvana,
a world in the eye of God,
blueberry bursts of epic epicness
down my throat you trod.

In my stomach you swim, my friend.
"It is not good for muffin to be alone,"
pop goes the cherry muffin to join you,
and in swims a blueberry clone.

Nom nom nom.

dailes are trash, they turn into weeklies, then monthlies, then endless battle passes. they force you to interact with parts of games u dont want to. make the game feel like a chore. you dont need dailes to keep players playing if the game is good. i play poe on stints of 300 hours every 3-4 months. last thing i want to be doing is logging in every day at the end of a garbage league to get some cosmetics or "currency"or points because im obligated to. dailies keep people logging into ur game, but in the long run destory your playerbase. why do u think mmorpgs are dying. because they are endless check lists of dailies or challanges that are arbitrary. challanges are more than enough to keep people playing poe and they will come to poe2. we dont need some garbage d4 ♥♥♥♥♥ to come ruin this game....

i have ignored dailies on EVERY SINGLE GAME which provide these . . . nothing but a burden these are . . .

and it is even the WORST, if a game has a battle pass or similar which "FORCES" players to log-in every day "to be able" to finish a battle pass, i completely ignore that whole game . . . same goes to such stuff as a "daily login bonus/drop" . . . 100% a no-go !!

I cannot and WILL NOT be forced to login and/or play a game 30 days a month, just to be able to fulfill a :DSTpoop: battle pass . . . a "season pass" might work though which can be done in just a few days!! however, i am also against that . . .

such gambling, brainless and brainwashing stuff to be forced to login every day generate a degenerated and toxic mindless and addicted generation . . .

i have had to quit many nice games due to such stuff . . . i am not a slave !! i am not becoming dependent of such brainless idiocy . . .

and besides that ... how would you manage a daily quest with a level 100 character to clear a level 10 area ?! non-sense . . .

you do the campaign once then be inside the end game. you roll your waystones with buffs and de-buffs, and while PoE2 v0.1.0e is still a shell, a good shell so far, you create your own dailies with these waystones as well as much more content will be added for sure until v1.0x . . .

i also highly guess, whenever v1.0 releases, the "Early Access League" becomes obsoleted and abandoned by most players, and so eveyone switch and has to start from fresh at the new and regular "Standard League" with all the new additional "F2P" players ...

so this current "Early Access League" "LITERALLY" is a "(Closed) Alpha/Beta testing shard" for broken and fixed testing stuff . . . The Early Access League wont be wiped, but everyone needs to start from fresh if these players want to play together "with" upcoming F2P players inside the non-beta and Standard League . . .

poe's player base migrates with league to league and GGG very much know this. trying to keep player retention at 100,000s of thousands isnt there model, if you like the game enough you will play it. simple as. GGG dont need cheap mechanics to engage the playerbase, they just need good gameplay and soild bases of leagues.

this might be something people with brain rot find it hard to wrap their head around. but a game doesnt need ADHD features to be GOOD.

Well you see these would be completely optional daily quests. if you didn't want to do them, you wouldn't need too.

If the daily quests didn't reward anyone, very few people would do them.
If they did reward people, people would feel forced to do them.

If it's the former case, it's a waste of money/development time, if it's the latter, you're lying or you don't understand how the average gamer engages with video games like this.

There's a reason why a lot of games do this daily quest stuff: it drives up engagement because it makes people feel forced to log on everyday, but it's rather predatory and manipulative.

If these quests do reward players, and I don't log on everyday to do them, I will fall behind the people I play with.

anyway player retention isnt something that should even concern the player. its a corporate buzz word flung around offices to milk players of every inch of their soul before their game dies. player retention is normally something you see within call of duty, mmorpgs and games developed by massive corps.

there is a reason some of the big games that are still around like CSGO/VALORANT, league of legends, POE, Grand Theft Auto Online, Rainbow Six Siege, Fortnite, rocket league, no man sky. while some do have dailies. they don't destroy the games over them they are often just optional.

unlike games like wow, d4, overwatch, call of duty, apex legends, destiny 2, genshin impact etc etc, can you tell the difference between the brain rot games ? most are made by activison or EA

No !!

A "good game" automatically keeps up "player retention" without dailies or such brainwashing stuff I have just mentioned up before . . .

You seem to be bored aleady in PoE2, and forget its current development stage in version 0.1.0e . . . more content will arrive for sure until it hits version 1.0x

you act here like PoE2 is already a fulfilled game, which is not but a shell yet ... as described above . .

this current "Early Access League" becomes obsoleted and abandoned anyways as every player switches to the Standard League for sure and needs to begin compeltely from fresh, as described above . . .

if you are already too lazy to read my post above, or to simply ignore these facts, how could you manage to do boring non-sense daily quests or similar in-game . .
