This here.
How is it better?
You can ignore damage nodes on the passive tree and just stack strength on travel nodes.
That weapon scales insanely well, from lvl 1 to end game.
The points you put in dexterity to keep your accuracy at 100% will give you more attack speed as well further boosting your dps.
The reason you have less dps with the unique is that you have low str.
Keep it for a STR stacking character, and you'll be surprised how good it is.
Depends on your build.
As a monk you benefit from all 3 stats on the weapon. You'll just need proper runes/cores on the weapon. You don't necessarily need to stack STR. It was just one variation.
The issue you might encounter is equipping gear if you're going evasion/energy shield and you're stacking str.
If you manage to get Astramentis amulet, then this weapon will be amazing even on dex/int builds.
I haven't gotten to leveling monk yet, so I can't offer much in terms of build variety. Hopefully someone else has ideas.
And thanks guys for the help! I really appreciate it!
These staves are cheap enough to where you can buy 50 of them and do vaal orb lottery until you get the perfect vaal corruption you want.
