cant get rid of sacrificial dagger

just finished act 3 and am now in cruel difficulty act 1. in one of the last maps (cant remember what theyre called) with the oogger booger people they give you so many dang trophies and sacrificial whatevers that i must of missed placing the sacrificial dagger. i held onto it right passed the end boss and still have it in act1 cruel difficulty. problem is, i cant seem to go back to the act 3 temple maps because the only way to do it was going through the gateway but now that gateway takes me straight back to the act1 part now. i cant even take the dagger out of my inventory.

also another annoying thing is traveling back to act 3 all the way points seem to be gone. so literally the only way i had to get back to act1 cruelty was to go through the gateway and do the first level again. which its not that big but still annoying. sooo now i have a dagger taking up inventory space.

go back to the level and the sacrificial dagger is laying by the alter you set the heart on and get +2 skill points. you can freely go back to act 3

but i cant go back to that level. thats the problem. because the only way back seems to be through the gateway at the camp. but going through that just takes me back to act1s first map to continue into the cruel difficulty mode. or is there another way to get back to that temple map? no waypoints will lead to it

Have you tried using the waypoint to get to the trial of chaos, possibly doing one room and porting back to town from there?

Port to ziggurat. Go through portal. Go to riverbank. Use portal there. Click on act 3 map. Port to utzaal or the map after that. Get sacrificial heart. Stab heart with dagger at the altar you got the dagger from.

Profit.
