Since you're not a PoE1 veteran, right now your only choice is to follow guides to figure out how to maximize your character's dps and mapping loot output if you wish to have any hope of seeing more content.
If you wish to follow your own path then quit now until the next league, as you'll realize the above is inevitable sooner or later.
If this is any representation of the community then maybe you are right.
Again, maybe you're right and this game isn't for me. I follow guides, with most looking like they are bugged or going to be fixed next patch. But flashing around the screen deleting everything on the screen in .002 seconds or else you explode just doesn't feel like fun game play to me.
This seems like an "as opposed to" challenge, which is fair. I was thinking with the whole "souls" comparison that the game play would be slower, more tactical with a blending of using a variety of your skills vs a boss. The whole spamming maps with a 1 click kill all monsters button while sometimes dieing to something, you don't even know what it is, in 1 hit. It's just not fun or it's not fun to me. Also it seems like to keep the interest, games are using things like "scenes" in games like Core Keeper. Imagine running a map and it can have waypoint modifiers but there are also 100s of random situations that can happen, maybe a witch in a swamp house needs something from another map or you run into a group that needs help, whatever. But I don't see myself playing or spending money on a game that is based around gearing your character to zip around the map in a epileptic fit, i mean is that fun to you? Look at any T15 runs, is running through 100s of explosions and FX fun? And no, that's doesn't mean to take it the WAY to the opposite side and want to fight trash mobs for 10 minutes either, there is a middle ground.
Yes, I use pre-cursors in the towers, I manage to stay alive and clear each map until 0 mobs are left, I open every chest/trunk I see, I orb every stone I have and even with +200% chance of stones to drop from a map, I still rarely get a T5 stones.
I can combine 3 x T4 into a T5, but finding 3 x T4 is not exactly sustainable either.
I also watch youtube videos of these T18 or T15 map "clears" and all the "stuff" that drops. But yeah, that type of endgame is not exactly satisfying to me.
They really need to do something to the stone issue. I can get unique's to drop easier than the stones I need to progress through the mapping system. The stone drought is also holding me back from levelling up, which in turn holds me back progressing on the passive tree to improve my character, which in turn holds me back from trying to clear maps faster so I can get stones faster.
It's like hitting a wall...
I even used Vaal orbs to corrupt my skill gems so I can have the extra skill support slots and increased the quality of the ones that are not corrupt to +20% to get the extra passives on the skills. The skill gem quality system is another poor system, but that's a different story.
1 unique helmet drop, 1 T4 stone and 1 T6 stone.
No idea what to try next to sustain waystones.
you're* then* it's*
Go on about brain cells
edit: nevermind, this has to be feigned stupidity
its the EXACT representation of the community currently. anyone who wants to see improvements has to deal with EXACTLY this nonstop. it is what it is
