Path of Exile 2
Please pay attention to the optimization
Dear GGG!
Please pay attention to the optimization of special effects like “wall of fire” in The Witcher. When using it 60 FPS drops to 25-35 and this is at the lowest graphics settings!
FPS drop is noted by players with a much more powerful video card than mine (GTX1650). One player also a witch came to my party to do an FPS drop experiment, when we both started spamming the “wall of fire” I just crashed the game after 10 seconds. My Ryzen 5 4000s processor, 32Gb, SSD also can't handle that load. The question is, why load the game like this? So that we run to buy the latest computers?
Or are you just too lazy to optimize and the first thing you did was to run transactions in the game?
There are projects with the same graphics and it is not lagging and these projects weigh 50-60Gb less than your game.
I've spent money on you, earn back that money.

I play on 4k at 90 fps.. it might drop to 70 when things are heavy on vulkin. this is 3060 ti.. Frame drops are normal. Usually a sign of bottle necks in the system. Like too many apps open or slow components in a system. I do not like people blaming the game for the responsibility of individual when they machine might be to blame. cheep ssd and performance concepts how fast a data load might fill a shader cache or swap it in and out of memory. Os that have bad sector or need complete rebuild to minimize. Most windows installs build to the box and bios settings. One change of settings might require a different path through windows code. opps game crashes...

You know what I don't like? When people write things they don't understand. I play Elden Ring on this system, for example, and you know what? I don't lag. I don't freeze.
So maybe the problem isn't the hardware?
I think you should go out and buy a new 50xx video card again, I'm sure buddy. You gotta stay on trend.
using another game is stupidity. different calls through the hardware. concepts are the same and code bases are different. I do not have issue with this game. I probably wouldn't have an issue with elden ring. the recommended spec of both game wildly different. The graphics of POE is heavier and faster paced..

I constantly have issues with the game dropping connection and getting booted to the title, don't have this issue on any other online game I've played. Makes doing trials damn near impossible, and at this point I just can't give enough of a damn to bother continuing to try. Damn shame, cause I really enjoy the game, but the frustration of killing a trial boss, then getting booted and losing progress is just too much irritation to keep me going.
There are times that I can play this game smoothly, but most of the time I get FPS drops constantly until lost interest to continue playing. Specially when doing trials is a pain in the ass. Hoping for a fix soon.
lil bro complains that his five year old mid range card struggles with modern games lmao

i have a ryzen 7 3700x with 2 3060's ti with 12gb per card. 64gb of memory on the box. windows is one drive and game is another. i think this box is 4 years old. It under drives the video cards. It plays Cities and Skylines decently with a decent population city. if you want a game that taxes hardware. 4k screens on any game can tax the games and should have lower frame rates because of screen real estate. poe 2 doesn't strain the hardware. It is the box build if it cannot run this game...

After that one sentence is complete obv. that you have no idea how how an engine works or even Workload on your Setup :D
This game is on UE5 engine which has issues, all games that are shipped with UE5 engine have ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ optimization. It's partially due to the developers and how they make the assets and visual effects, and most of the issue is due to the engine.
I run PoE2 mostly on stable 100-120ish fps, but when I play my minionmancer and spam flame wall, yea, fps drops to 20 ez.
Games these days are just pumped out on the marked requiring you to buy even more expensive pc parts so that you can have "enjoyable" experience, but in reality it's just "ship it fast, compensate with hardware". Also I believe that engine makers have deal with e.g. Nvidia and/or AMD/Intel so there is that as well ..
if you research it poe2 does not use UE5. It is a custom game engine.

They use their proprietary custom engine.
There's no publicly available information indicating partnership or deals with amd, nvidia or intel.

They have collaborated with NVIDIA to enhance poe2 with NVIDIA's DLSS technology. That's about it.
