Path of Exile 2

Path of Exile 2

What is the total cost of the game?
So I know the base game is $30, however I've had it told to me that buying the extra currency/stash tabs in PoE 1 was basically required to play the game comfortably. So how much would that run me if I did buy the base game since from videos I've seen, they're using the same storage methods here?

30$ isnt really the game cost its the points you get for buying into EA. So essentially you get the game and then 300 coins to spend on said stash tabs which is more then enough to get you by.
More than the 30 to be comfortable, however if you ain't a hoarder then you probably would do ok with a currency, gem and couple premiums for under 300 points (on sale) which comes in the lower pack. Game comes with 4 standard tabs anyway.

If you want to play more than 1 character, and play solo self found, more than the $30 for sure.

With how completely horrible "crafting" is in this game, you need to save multiples of the same gear items to try and reforge, then smash exalted orbs into any half decent piece of gear and pray to Odin. This will result in many tabs of gear for "crafting" alone.

Potentially easier to manage if you play in trade league, but that has the downside of having to deal with early 2000's era Battle.net style archaic trading, and the risks that come with it. (spammers, scammers, dupers, and whatever the hell else is going on right now with it.)

so you pay 30 dollars to get 300 coins to get stuff that should just be included as base features like any other game in the same genre

ok then

lol

No. You pay $30 to get access to the beta before it becomes free to play, however, with that they also give you $30 worth of coins.

And yea. Just look at all of that sweet stash space Diablo 4 gave us for retail price of game+expansion. :steammocking:

If you own nothing from poe 1, right now 30 dollars is still very comfortable amount of stash tabs, you can afford on sale currency, 1 or 2 premium, gem, essences, maybe unique, and more stash tabs with what's left, maybe go for a quad premium instead of regular premiums.

That will change though when they start introducing new tabs (maps, divination, and others), but you're probably not going to need to spend more than 30 dollars extra in the future, unless you want to really expand your storage size.

30 for access which also give you 30 equilivant in the premium currency.
so basicly you just bought 30 equilivant premium currency and the game is free.

that amount you get is enough to buy enough extra stash you need.

you can store 300 items in D4 without paying an extra penny. lol

It "is" a F2P game. So no it shouldn't be the base. This is Early Access. You are PAYING to play early, and getting coins of the same value for playing early. This is MORE than reasonable. In fact if you wait till release, you can play for free, and NEVER pay a dime, and get 1000000x more out of this than d4. Which is INSANE.

Ah I wasn't aware I'd get some of the currency for additional stash stuff. Thanks everyone, I'll buy it soon more than likely. The combat looks so satisfying lol.
The cost of the game is $30 and you get points to buy stash tabs which you will absolutely need, so it's a bargain. Don't listen to anyone telling you that you can play this game without spending money, they are flat out lying to you and are likely GGG employees on alt accounts.

This game will never be free the so called free version when it fully releases is only for the story campaign which btw is world class.
For end game which is where the game really starts you have to pay money to buy stash tabs no 2 ways about it.

The quality of the game is so far by any metric the game of the century not just game of the year with one exception the lack of an Auction House which is a major blow to the game but it's intentional because GGG is afraid of nerds.

Anyways $30 for the game of the century that is built with unlimited billion dollar budget and AAA graphics but with 90's gameplay is unheard of these days.

This game is on the same level as something like GTA 6 when it does come out

The true cost of this should have been $200 USD because it has better more complete content in Early Access than Diablo 4 has with an expansion.

if you really like d2, and plan to play poe2 as a substitute long term, i would say around 100 dollars required for stash tabs. You may not need it right away, eventually you would get there.
depend if u really love the genre
gem, currency, 6x stash tab,1 quad tab and some premium stash i think okay. Do th math ur self and get it while discount like right now.

if you hoarder item maybe need more, but i always need coin so i always sell my unused item
