Account Locked (for a joke)

Today i got account locked for a joke in global channel (everybody was joking about elon musk) and i said something about politics, rightly after i got a red message saying that my account is muted for 168 hours and then i got disconnected and its saying that my account is locked.

I already contacted support via email.

Has anyone else been through this situation?

Ah yes, I remember... You have a long history of that kind of "jokes". I am old school, so I know what it is to get a chat ban for posting the holy toucan in global, but nah even people warned you and you kept going. GGG is fairly relaxed with what you can say on global or on their forums, so you truly have to go out of your way to get banned

I got banned once from PoE 1 for calling dark souls 1 overrated in global, so I believe you. Trouble is that they won't do anything until you ♥♥♥♥♥ and moan on their forums about it, but it worked for me and it might work for you if you are telling the truth.

To get a 168 hours, I doubt this was your first infraction.

I'm totally telling the true. Just dont understand why everybody presumes bad faith in other people.

Did you complained in forums or contacted them via email?

I just made a joke regarding Elon Musk. I literally said "Elon Musk got cancelled because he enraged the democrats"

Honestly, their mods are a lot of salty libs. Just turn off Global or watch and laugh from afar, cuz if you chat they are waiting to take out their butthurt rage

My account got locked for an inappropriate username. It kicked me out saying all I have to do is log in and reset my game but then it said my account was locked. Contacted support like they said and received no response. I'm about to refund this game. Can't even play single player because of my name, which is something that I can easily change.

Since you initialed the political joke, that is what triggered the banhammer. Political discussion has been forbidden in games for as long as I can remember gaming online.

And nothing in your OP that says the others were making political jokes. You began it.

You have two options :
1. Buy another key and start over
2. Wait for the ticket reply (my guess is quite sometime also) as they are more then likely way behind on ticket answers.

Buy another key? But my PoE is linked to my steam account. Do i must create another steam account just to play Poe 2 ?
