PoE game crashes the entire PC
Hi everyone! I know a lot of people are experiencing more or less random crashes in this game—some just have the game crash, while others see their entire PC go down.

As for me, I was dealing with recurring Windows crashes during loading screens in PoE, which forced me to shut down the PC and restart everything. After several tests, I found out that DLSS was the problem. I switched back to NIS upscaling, and since then, I haven’t had a single crash.

I hope this can help some of you in the same situation!

What is working for me it's only limiting the background FPS cap to 10 FPS combined with changing the Affinity removing core 0 and 1 just in case. Every time I'm going to load a new location, I hit my window button or move the mouse pointer to the other monitor forcing the background fps limit to 10 fps and works like 90 % of the time.

no, this doesnt fix the issue, youre just lucky it hasnt crashed again.

the processor affinity thing also doesnt work for me.
literally the only thing that works is:

manually removing multicore rendering every time you are about to travel to a new location initiating a loading screen. this is on the bottom of graphics options

nothing else works. keep playing and you'll see

Uninstal this game its joke hundred of players having same issue
I wouldn't mess too much in the settings tbf, that may increase chance of issues or bugs as this game isn't released yet. So play the game in the default upscaling mode, I never had one crash or disconnect since I got the game...

It is NOT the game, it's Windows 11 24H2 update that is causing the issue.

You can either revert back to 23H2, use an uncrasher, or wait for GGG to patch the game.

I disable multithreading in the settings before I portal/zone, etc. That fixed the crashes for me. It's annoying as hell so I hope they fix it soon.
