there's no P2W, the only thing that affects gameplay is the storage space you can buy
They sometimes do sales, I recommend only buying things in those periods unless you have a lot of money to spare.
That's actually great to hear, thanks!
How much are the storage spaces, and do you need them?
Not a PvP game so not really p2w, pay for convenience, depends how you see it.
Also can upgrade pack in future if you feel the need for more space.
$1.50 to upgrade a stash tab, to enable selling items
buying items is free.
total of maybe $30 to buy the conveniance tabs to store all the collectable currencies to stack up to 500 and not waste actual stash space.
the rest is cosmetics, which have zero impact on the game
Usually I'm quite the hoarder in games, so I presume I'd need them.
You say there's a sale coming soon, how much do the spaces usually cost in sales?
The game is not expensive compared to any full paid game. If you pick the 60$ pack you get skins and enough coin to buy all the current stashes + get some leftover for any potential future stash.
Ahh thank you!
I never buy cosmetics in games, I think that as standard the game should offer good looking items. If a game makes only the cosmetics look good - it leaves a sour taste.
But in general it really is just Pay For Convenience. You don't need any special stash tabs to play the game, many of them are even quite useless before reaching the endgame. But if you were to buy some, the most important ones would probably be a currency tab, a premium tab (for an easy way to sell items to other players) and, once they finally added it, a map stash tab. Obviously all bought during a stash tab sale weekend that happens every 3 weeks or so.
They are pricey, however you get enough points to buy some (I would recommend at least 1 x4 page and the main currency page minimum) They do go on sale though like every 3 weeks, so wait until a stash sale.
You can also create mules for free as many as you want I think.
You get 4 free basic stash tabs which really as a new player and 1 or 2 characters is imo more than enough to do all content in game.
I was concerned that it would cost me a fortune, but this is all reassuring to hear!
Thank you for your time and help figuring this out :)
as standard, the gear models are quite pleasing.. but they are all shades of grey.
the only gear with colour are the cosmetics. the default models do look good though if you dont mind the grey.
id also point out though.. poe1 leagues, which happen every 3 months, have challenges that reward cosmetics..
so you get free stuff every 3 months if you play enough. im assuming poe2 will have something similar.
Oh that's another thing I wasn't aware of!
I've just bought the $60 version of the game from the advice of someone else who said that should give me enough credit to buy future additions to the shop.
Honestly, I really do appreciate your time giving me this information.
