PoE vs PoE2
So, after playing for more than 50h & checking out the YouTube videos on the best builds, it seems like the only real difference between PoE and PoE2 lies in the early to mid-game. Eventually, you’ll still transition your character into some ridiculously overpowered ‘frog’ that one-shots everything and clears the map in 20 seconds. Honestly, I’m a bit disappointed.

Give them time to adjust stuff. Maybe it will be different (i hope so)
I think it's okay for mapping but boss fights should feel like they do in the campaign and not be simple stat checks like in PoE

I like long dragged out boss fights with mechanics, dodging etc.

I love to breeze through maps and kill mobs fast

I wonder what they'll do in the future
Did not like Poe at all, however i do enjoy Poe2 until endgame. I wish they will heavy nerf all this spamstuff (because everything is currently balanced around those) and just bring back that slower ruthless feeling you get while playing normal ACT1-3 in SSF for the endgame.

Poe 2 maps are too big to do it in seconds. Poe 1 maps is smaller and you can beeline to the map boss "cave" instinctively/ knowledge of layout. Poe 2 endgame feels like a slog to me, clearing 5 to 10 times slower than poe 1 coupled with aimless atlas exploration without the feel of progression.

Of course, you are just envy of those with meta builds since you can't do it on your own. That's all.
Think this was kind if obvious to happen. Arpg end game progression and souls like experience are not compatible. People were deluding themselves to think otherwise.

Yep, thats dissapointing, Johnattan say that he want to do something more than graphical update for PoE 1 so he leave it as is, he promote that active combat like 90% of the time while game end up as PoE1 but with better graphic.
Thats all just another zoomer ARPG, oh well i play till something different come out in the genre, i heard there is annoucement in Jan about big update for No Rest For The Wicked so till then for me.

Same. Really hate the mindless spamming of single skill/spell full screen mob clearing routinely. Making it brain dead as the game progresses to be "more challenging".

Please make PoE2 more different from PoE1 so that it filters off those PoE1 players.
The average player will definitely not be an overpowered 'frog' in early mapping. New players will be lucky to get past tier 5 or 6 maps without investing some serious time and effort into the game. When people say they look up videos of the best builds, those people already put in hundreds of hours of play to test skills and supports out to see what works best. That also doesn't reflect the larger part of the player base. This kind of mentality is always astounding to me, as this game is far less punishing in the skill tree than PoE1 is, so it's far easier for a new player to pick meaningful choices so they don't create a non-usable build and essentially not be able to rollback passives to make it usable.
PoE 2 has a much better campaign, while PoE 1 has a much better endgame. They worked on the campaign for far longer than the endgame (6 months or so for the endgame), so we will have a much better endgame 6+ months from now when the game releases. PoE 2 endgame does feel a lot like PoE 1 without a lot of the content.

Actually, no. I’ve rarely played meta builds in PoE (maybe once or twice), yet I’ve still managed to be creative and fast. What frustrates me is reading all the posts from GGG about PoE2 promising to be different—slower, with achievements that actually mean something—and then seeing it potentially boil down to the same formula.

I love GGG and PoE, and I’d even call myself a reasonable fanboy. But honestly, it disgusts me that people like you exist—people who project their own fears of being unskilled or subpar onto others. Do better, mate. Just be better.
