Why no poison resist?

I'm in Act 3 getting shredded by poison and i'm wondering why there isn't any protection from this. Unless chaos resist works on poison? I don't even know what it works on.

it's not actually getting me killed (yet) but it would be nice to have a little more toughness on my warrior. My two-handed warrior is PURE GLASS CANNON. lol

I have 850hp which isn't bad for the start of Act 3 and i'm so soft even with high armor and fairly high resist :)

Chaos resist is poison resist. You can wear a charm for it too.

Life Per Second is a hard counter to poison damage , makes Viper fight a total joke if you're struggling on that for example.

chaos resist works on chaos damage. Poison is chaos damage. It's a similar to the relation between fire and ignite.

quick tip to add on for the others that recommend charm,

you can also look for amethyst ring for implicit X% to chaos resist
