A new(?) twist on the controller stash issue

So, I've been playing on ps5 since game drop, just got a gaming pc, and got it on steam yesterday. I've been playing with controller (both console types, wired and not), but I cannot stash on the pc version AT ALL. In stash, the option is visible for Y/triangle, but the button refuses to work only in stash. It doesn't even drop, and click-carrying to stash doesn't work, either. I can only put back to personal inventory.

The button works at all other points in game, and this applies to every location that has a stash, regardless of act. Also, it still works on ps5, so if I save & exit on pc and fire up ps version, I can store.

Has anyone else experienced this, and did they find a solution? Restarts, unplugs, etc have no effect. Does anyone know of a setting for the tabs that might not be carrying over from console to pc?
