Path of Exile 2

Struggling as Warrior in early game?
I just swapped to Merc and the differences in difficulty is almost night and day.

I don't know if its just ranged is 10 times better to play or Warriors melee skills is just horribly slow.

You need to develop mechanical skills and awareness while playing warrior that you don't need for other classes until mapping. So warriors start slow and get a big spike in power at lvl52. Before then it's still fine if you know what you are doing but other classes are simpler.

warrior is just crap now, needs buffs and rebalancing

Sorry mate if you are aiming for lvl 80-90+ you never going to make it you pick the worst class and you can only make 1 build; stampede(I am a lvl 82 warrior after 150 hours)

Looks like I'll be maining a Merc then.
I highly recommend boneshatter.

Hit an enemy once with another skill or just your basic attack, priming them for stun. Then hit boneshatter and clear the entire screen. I breezed through the game as a warrior after realising this, only real barrier was the act 2 final boss.

wow thats terrible, I got almost 400 hours in the game and absolutely love my warrior, currently lvl 95 with him. Corrupting cry is unstoppable.
Having a blast with Shockwave Totems @ Lvl. 47 (+4 Totems) - I don't understand why everyone keeps saying Warrior is the worst when I died a lot with my Monk as main. Must be armour/evasion thing.

Warrior indeed has a low start, but after the Witch I think it has been the easiest class to play, because he has a lot of damage and defense at the same time. Also warrior has a skill that at first you might not see its value, Boneshatter, but it's one of the strongest skills in the game once you start using it at the right time.

I found once I had a decent weapon that was it.. Warrior was just as easy as any of the other classes I have played..

I have all the classes up to 90 so far and Warrior was by far the slowest / hardest to get going.
It's because all the dangerous mechanics are PBAEs on the boss, and early game warrior is basically on the boss.

Instead of the boss chasing you, its smacking you, putting pressure on you.

On top of I hear armor is worthless. Doesn't help the warrior when
1. bosses doing PBAEs on you, these can actually 1 shot unlike their ranged threat
2. Armor is worthless

My advice is if you struggle with bosses, get a crossbow or bow, use it.

When you get totems, now its smooth sailing.
Pretty silly, warrior being effective is using totems and running away if you want the ease and dominance as you would feel with the other classes.

I tried the warrior until level 12, switched to ranger, and am so glad I did.

Warrior class seems broken and needs a major rework.

There is no face tanking in this game. The mechanics aren't designed for it.

The Warrior has a ranged skill. Molten Blast is pretty good if you pick up some fire nodes.

Warriors not so bad, once you get leap slam, it's like Tarzan on Meth.

Tarzan is what saves this class. While everyone is stuck at obstacles and hate the escape trial in sekhemas I tarzan my way across.
