So where does OP get the info from that hacks are happening because of these overlays?
Nowhere. Any connection to any of the trade overlays hasn't been proven. That being said, the Overwolf overlay hasn't been recommended by many for a while due to all the alleged data it collects.
Filters are only text files. Overlays are a different matter.
Sidekick is good.
Overwolf is spyware garbage.
Personally, I have never had any problem with these two tools.
