Sorc survavility

Just arrived to maps at lv65 with a Spark Sorc and everything oneshots me, it takes time to farm f %&ng stones and you get killed in seconds in those maps...This game is horrible and I have just uninstalled it. 99% is copied from D2, but progression in D2 is there, this game is a damn joke.

hm, nah. you probably need to work on your resistances. oh and energy shield should be over 2k, at least.

since you are late to the party youll have to get your credit card out and participate in RMT if you are looking to get any gear that you may need to survive

GGG lets bots run rampant and each season is rife with cheating and they do nothing about it. it is possible they are in on it.

Well maybe he should then. Also the whining about running out of stone Doriyami Sells unlimited Level 1 stones for cheap and you can reforge them

I have same issue. Problem obviously isn't a bad player if he got that far without issues. My opinion is balance and difficulty levels can jump too drastically from one area to another. If my play style and build are working fine for entire game, then all of a sudden...In fairness, this is an early release with countless balance tweaks yet to come.

Why should you follow a guide when the game touts itself as being the reincarnation of the genre?
And the level 1 stones are only a good starting point, once you reach T5 they are not a good source of stones, mostly because of gold cost to reforge a T5 starting with T1 stones.

The best source is playing the maps, but for that staying alive is needed.

You just have to run an auto cast meta build with instant ES regen, then you just run around while 15 comets per second explode the entire screen space and you spend 45 minutes picking up 17,000 items.

Try playing a T15 warrior I put the game down to do Honour Mode BG3 and Long Dark until they fix it, IF they fix it.
Armour is so busted later on.

First thing, I totally feel your frustration and understand where you are coming from, however, there are things that can ease the pain but it is extremely hard to do so intelligently with the current tools. Defenses play a big part in this game but it is hard to tell what is worth it. For example resistances were mentioned as less damage is better, (no brainer) but however, if the mobs die before they get to you (i.e. more damage) that is also good. So which is better, do you focus on mana and % damage or life, res, and ES, and when does one become better than the other? It depends, you can't prioritize both because the rolls on gear is random and there are to many ways an item can roll to consistently upgrade. The game doesn't really give you tools to tell which one is giving you more bang for your buck as the dps calc is not very good. So you have to choose how will you defend yourself and then commit. However, no matter which one you chose you have to design defense layers to each strategy. I'm a spark/lightning warp sorc and I regularly use ice wall for utility (CC, escaping, grouping up enemies for nuking) so this spell is very critical for my survival but it does very little damage. So I have focused high damage and mana on gear as I use ice wall as my defense (can't hit can't kill). However, because of boss mechanics, my next priority is ES on gear and I have to improve my dodge rolling skill. If dodge rolling is not your thing then you will want to focus on a different defense strategy. The game expects you to know how to navigate and understand synergies that are not simple or straight forward.
