Game freezes entire computer while loading into new area everytime.
Has anyone figured out a solution for this? It's making the game almost impossible to play for me. Thanks!

UPDATE: The problem is with Windows 11 24H2. Specifically the "Auto HDR" setting in Windows. I went into the HDR settings and turned off the "Auto HDR" and I have not crashed a single time for the last 24 hours.

I have the same issue. This should be fixed soon.
Its realy annoying, because you see loading screens very often.

Switching to Vulkan helps reduce this, and you can prevent whole PC freeze by setting thread affinity.
Open task manager after launching POE2, right click POE2 select go to details, right click the exe process for POE2 select set affinity and uncheck core 0/1 click ok.
This should prevent full PC lock up if game crashes

This is a problem with the 24H2 windows update. You need to downgrade it if you want that to not happen again. This isn't the only game going through that, btw. Some people with 24H2 weren't able to even open Resident Evil 4 Remake, for example. Something in this update stinks.

Are you running Windows 11 build 24H2 ?

get this program / tool for it - make sure to deactivate half of your cores though.

First start the program -> than start POE2 - and make sure the game is running in administration mode.

The worst of these is a full system freeze that has occurred since Windows 11’s 24H2 update. We still don’t know exactly what caused this problem, but we have deployed a workaround that seems to be preventing the freeze. We are working with Microsoft to find a better long term solution.

never fix this ,so this is your priority? or want free money for us consumers? SCAAMERs
