CPU multicore option leads to stutters and spikes in performance chart [i7 4770]
I have a problem with terrible stutters / microfreezes when Multicore option is enabled in game. On one core (unchecked) - I have stable line in chart, but 35-40 fps. With multicore on I have TERRIBLE LAG and jumping fps 15-120.
I play in many games on high settings (more then 100+ modern games), have RTX 4070 super, 32 Gb RAM, SSD. Dont answer please that 4770 is old and weak - no, it has nice performance state in EVERY game I play in 1440p (Doom, Hunt Showdown, Indiana Jones, Elden Ring and muuuch more with Stable 75+ fps on high settings).

POE-2 is the only game in the list i have a problem with. I refunded it, but i want to play with friends. There is a way to fix it https://www.reddit.com/r/pathofexile/comments/165nkla/how_i_fixed_cpu_stuttering_on_the_latest_patch/?sort=new

But i dont want to do this cause iam afraid on doing harm on my hardware! (why should i burn away my CPU that serves me well for more than 12 years). And plz dont type that i should buy new cpu+motherboard+RAM - i play all 2024 top graphic games without lags and with beautiful picture.

I wish Developers will see that post

Try turning off resizeable bar, no guarantees but it's frequent enough of a cause of stuttering in games that it's worth trying it.
to put it simply, your CPU doesn't meet the minimum requirements to play the game.

but I won't tell you to get a new CPU, because I really don't care.
is that a typo? you do not have a i7 4770 and a 4070 super right?
dude.....
i am running an amd 16 core processor and I am not having any issues... its running at decent speeds with no lag spikes or stutters, only in group game have I seen the problem. it doesn't crash...running 4k and 90 frames.. On that 4070 you may have to go into nvidia settings and change them to increase buffers..
Hey! i've fixed this problem following this:
1) delete all cached POE shaders:
a) Go to \Users\YOUR_USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Path of Exile2\ and delete the shader cache folder;
2) Go to NVIDIA control panel -> Manage 3D Settings -> Global Settings -> Scroll down to Shader Cache Size and set it to 100GB
Give it a try!

Ok honestly as great as your cpu is (she's truly beautiful, one of a kind, will never find another like her I know) it is literally well below the *minimum* recommended specs, and sooner rather than later that is going to become a norm you can't ignore. I'd look into some performance tweaks if possible that bottom out all cpu-related performance settings. Anything to give the GPU more work and the cpu less work.
Bruh Upgrade your CPU!
your 4070 means nothing for this game, the more mobs this game show, the harder your CPU works..

Windows 24h2 update was the main issue for me. As a current work around until GGG fixes it a backroll to 23h2 fixed it.

Hi, yep you are right - but dont be a marketing puppet - i can show you proofs of performance IN 100+ games 2022-2024 where I have 75+ FPS in 1440p on high settings. Lol I dont want to pay for POE2 hardware upgrade cause of ♥♥♥♥♥♥ code/engine of this game.

75 fps in Indiana Jones, 75 fps Hunt Showdown, 75 fps Elden Ring, 75 fps Marvel Midnight Suns (all different engines!!!) - and lol I should buy new CPU,MB,RAM for playing Early Access game with medium graphics that insist me to Check in Option to choose 1 or X cores I want to use???))) I you serious))) no one game in 2025 asks User to choose 1 or X cores its piece of crap, Its madness as is.

I have all the games in a world - and for fkn 1 game with ZERO optimization and Early Acess you advice me to spend 1000$ + ?))) Madness !
