In 17 years you have not found a way to stop the RMT sellers?

Come on GGG I love you guys. You guys are great but you really need to make this a priority before this game comes out of early access.

Refine your code for automatically banning and preventing these RMT spammers.

They spam chat so often at times it disrupts communication, they sent massive private message lists to players in game and I am certain they will be stealing accounts and credit card data from the suckers that visit their sites.

But more realistically, every game struggles with this issue. There was an expose recently on youtube from a popular bot hunter that goes into the finances/methodology behind the RMT people. Just one group from Taiwan is pulling in several million dollars per month. They pay software devs to create bespoke botting software, and dozens of permutations of said software, and run multiple permutations at once. So when a ban wave hits, they only lose 10-20% of their network, then create a new version and do it again.

The biggest issue with banning bots is you can't be too aggressive and start banning real players. Its much easier to find a way around the automated systems than it is to detect how people are getting around the automated systems. So devs are already at a disadvantage, and on top of that are fighting a battle with their hands tied behind their backs.

The only surefire way to be rid of these RMT scammers is for people to stop paying them. But that'll never happen.

interenet providers have real ip adresses . its not like its hard to track these people behind botting . neighter steam or developers care tho

An ascendancy run is not the same as RMT it is an in game trade for services. It is no different than trading for anything else in game and does not involve out of game trading for real world money.

yes, I saw items sold for 1000 divine in market, devs and executives doing this willingly, I suspect money laundering, profit from sales and such..

What you mean stop them? Daddy Tencent had to fully buy out GGG because their business was failing at an alarming rate. Also, Daddy Tencent just bought a very popular RMT site to start using on their own. So yea, who gives a ♥♥♥♥. I been RMTing since the 90s in Ultima Online and nothing they can do about it.

I think its possible but I like to deal in factual statements and I have not seen a single shread of proof Tencent owns a single RMT site.

It's a free game it's almost impossible for them to stop it in PoE and will be almost impossible to stop it in PoE 2.
