Zero Microtransactions transffered

Is anyone else experiencing issues with their Path of Exile 1 (POE1) microtransactions not transferring to POE2? I’ve spent over $500 on POE1 supporter packs, and I’m really frustrated that none of my microtransactions are available in POE2.

I emailed support six weeks ago to link my Steam and POE2 accounts. Four GGG employees have responded to my emails, but none of them have resolved the issue. I understand the game is in Early Access, they’re still porting transactions, and the team is likely on a well-deserved holiday break. However, this has been an ongoing problem, and it’s preventing me from trading or chatting in-game. Ive also had to spend more money on stash tabs, despite the fact I have over 20 tabs I paied for in POE1.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to successfully link my account? I’ve verified my email, but it still shows as unverified. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

If you log into your PoE account on the main website does it show your account as linked to steam?

It should say under My Account > Manage account > Secondary Login

When I click "connect" steam, it gives me this error message

"You cannot add this login method to this account. YOu cannot merge two accounts with the same login method"

Any ideas?

All my tabs came over but my gear skins didn't, I have over $900 in skins I'm supposed to be able to use, I thought it would just come out when the game is fully released like they haven't ported them over quite yet, I can see them all as if they are there but they aren't.

Well that sounds like it's because they both use the same email as an account already linked with a PoE account via steam.

Do you have two accounts that you used for the first game and played that through steam?

I used to live in anouther country and Steam was blocked so when I played POE1 it was was through GGG (not steam). I have moved since and back on steam so I am playing POE 2 on steam. Im guessing that is where the issue is.

Then it could be possible your PoE 2 account is actually a new one and that one is linked to your steam making you unable to link it to your original account.

Maybe one possible solution is changing the email of your original account temporarily. I only say this because when I tried linking my account to an old one that's what I did to merge them into one.

One way to see if they are different is your account name on the store in PoE 2. If it doesn't match it's a different account.

Yes you are correct, their are two different accounts. I will change the email address of POE1 and see if that fixes anything. Thank you DaciValt for your messages. Ill report back later today and see if that worked.

I hope it does work because when I did it there was an option to merge the two together that popped up.

It's early access and there are bigger.. worries than mtx transfers that they need to deal with though i am sure they'll get em all sorted out before official launch date.

Well that means it's attached to a different account so can't be added to this account.

What you should have done was buy it on the other account then redeem the Steam key.

I would log into the original account and see if it can be unlinked. Unlikely but worth a shot but looks like you screwed up.

Unfortunately, the email change did not work.

Yes Im trying to give them time, but it sucks I cant trade, chat or even get micro-transactions that I have bought in POE1 or POE2.

some of the micros from PoE1 DO transfer over. some of the pets like that floaty blue cat and some others i have seen. i sent in a support ticket weeks ago in steam, twice on two different accounts that are linked on the main website, i tried to email also. i spent hundreds in the shop because i wanted to support them, and some stuff looks cool. But they simply ignored all of that because they already got my money. they dont give a sh1t. you can say backlog this or that. how many millions since release have they made? they cant hire someone to answer the phone or an email, or a support ticket in 3 different places? and right after the game drops when people will need to contact them for the broke game they released? Do yourself a favor and pass on this hot trash for now.
