No Build variety.
You say wtf man.
I say Lightning and elemental.
I literaly have feeling that game punish for not using elemental damage.
Everywhere you look its Shock type of nodes and in reality Lightnibg builds not only Overperform but also everywhere on passive tree.

I liked my Galvanic Merc . I like Lightning concept.
But other types like Fire or Frost are underperforming.
PHYSICAL is uust pure....

Please add more fire/cold clasters for merc side.


I PLAY my own build on maps now. It feels great , looks great.
I do Physical damage Bleed crossbow.
Clearing screens with armour explosion.
Low Damage on Bosses.
WHY??
there is only 3 skills in Crossbow for physical damage to use for bleed...
And except armorpiece rou ds they all suck...
And BLEED itself sucks...low damage...

GEAR ROLLS

You can have phys% with elem %
You can have Damage of Phyc and Lighting
But you CANT have double phyc
Which means you are punished for not doing elemental in build.


CONCLUSION
so many great combos and build building mechanics but they all come to similar things and build types = elemental or Lightning.

Problem is not with the game, but with your expectations. :P
Btw you didn't buy a game here, you bought the equivalent of a kickstarter package that gave you early access to the game. Game will be free on release, and it will be feature complete.

And again, I haven't tried melee in poe2, but from how you replied to other dude, it doesn't feel like you know ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about poe at all.

I am doing a Corrupting Cry Strength stacking Warcry Warbringer. Most fun I had with Warrior ever. You don't even need good gear. You only need strenght everywhere.
Good fun shouting everthing to death.

Poison is awesome, two gas arrows, and the correct support gems, you only need to kill 1 monster in a mob and the rest just pop behind it, how does that suck?

But almost all builds right now use an elemental skill or damage type or conversion..

We dont have pure bleeds.

We also have to rely on elemental stacks into conversion and triggers to do any damage.

Pure physical builds are meh without an element to boost it.

"Path of Benders" is what we're playing. Are you a fire bender or a lightning herald? Choices are slim.

I recently caved and deleted my 80 gas arrow pathfinder because it also requires an element stack to increase poison on hit magnitude and made a new deadeye purely for herald of ice/thunder with lightning arrow...

Cant wait to clear screens for a week before the lightning nerfs and save up some currency and prep for a ice shot swap.

I miss bleed multishot from PoE 1 already...

Because the damage is rather low. Its good for the campaign and enough for endgame but simply no competitor to anything Lightning.

Did you know that there's nodes that boost all elemental damage and nodes that boost all spell damage ?

I see that game favors lightning over everything now.
I see that bleed clasters require two times more points then shock clsasters for much less result.
I see that pure physical damage builds are ubderperforming even with broken armor.
Try making a lightning sorc, and then make a ice... The fun stars at 0 with ice, lightning not even close.

Did you notice half the skills and weapons are missing? Did you also notice that passive skills thats not "working" ingame is already in?

Axes uses bleed and they are not added yet... Wait for the content thats related to bleed god dangit.

Well. OP is kinda right.. I'm playing a witchhunter myself right now and everything but lightning skills and the very first shotgun skill sucks.

I wanted to make rapidfire work.. but fire dmg in this game sucks right now.

Ballistas need heavy investment to feel good.

Merc needs a lot of work.

Galvanic feels like it's bugged since using it against bosses often does nothing. But for clearing and applying shock to use shockburst on bosses feels great.

I'm sure GGG will work on it tho. They said many times that they have no real grasp on build balance before EA release.

Fire is underwhelming, the best fire builds converts all fire to cold O.o
