Path of Exile 2

Everyone else having running this game?
My specs: CPU i9 9900k
GPU: Nvidia RTX 2070
Memory: 32gb

So far I can only get 15/16 fps even if I set everything on low/medium.

Quite frustrating when you want to try the game and I barely get fps.

On COD BO6 I can easily get a stable 120 fps and that game is terribly optimized.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks.

Yeah the optimisation is pretty bad.

You should get better than 15 fps however. You are above my specs and I am getting ~60 fps in co-op with a buddy on MOST maps. Some are terrible though.

My laptop has a 2060.

I bought 32gig ram upgrade in anticipation of game release.

11th Gen i5-11400H @ 2.70GHz

Runs fine for a $450 laptop.

I know it's no 4080.

Runs good on mine but hard crashes to desktop way too often. Had almost no frame drops in my playtime, it was always 60+ FPS on maxed out settings

Ryzen 7 9700x
64GB RAM
RXT 3080

Actually yes, the game needs optimization, but there are few graphic options that you can change to boost your fps, like:

-Lighting (use just shadows without global illumination)
-Shadow quality (on low)
-Vsync (turn off, so there are no limits for your fps)
-Number of lights (on medium)

These are some of the heaviest effects right now, and a plus if you want to see the real beauty of the game, is using the upscaler NIS, without dynamic resolution and with sharpness on 3, why? because FSR and DLSS adds some ghosting blur damaging the overall quality of the pixels, you can see this by looking at the effects of fire in a torch or campfire, (but a note here, NIS is a bit more demanding for performance).

Hope this help you.

7800x3D, 4080Super, and 32gb ram. Game runs great for me until I start my boss rotation. Infinite Ball Lightning can tank my fps down to the 30s because of the insane amounts of lightning particles everywhere. And that's even when using culling.

I have the same specs and I have no issues with the game. I run on windows 10 though.

Yup, i keep seeing people with better set ups than me going trough it too... losing hope here and fast
15 fps? are you using an inbuild gpu with that processor?

Intel 10600KF
AMD RX 6600
16GB RAM

Consistent 60+ FPS at medium settings, no upscaling.

im running an i9-9900KF with a 1080ti and 32g ram, game is completely unplayable at 1080p with low settings.
no settings affect FPS, its at a constant 20fps or so, going to directx 11 bumps it to 60-90, but any effects on screen will drop FPS to around 10-20.

Hey guys,

Thank you all for the feedback.

I think i found the solution for me.

I installed Intel® Computing Improvement Program and my CPU didn't have any latecy anymore.

Hopefully this helps someone else in the future with the same setup as mine.

90-100 fps now.

Hey, Just curious what your FPS is? I have this exact setup and i haven't been able to get the game to run smooth at all, Sometimes in combat my fps is dipping to 15-20 fps
Until LOT of optimization work is done: this is still valid:

read thorugh, graps the issues but bear in mind that there are no simple answers to complex problems.
Ryzen 5 2600
Radeon RX 580
32gb memory

old PC but i run the game in 1080p on medium/low setting with an average of 50fps, except when massive hordes of enemies and tons of effects are going on.
