Power charges help
Im currently just started endgame and im lvl 72 and trying to make my own build... So im trying to build a lightning monk around power charges. Right now with my current knowledge i can either go the route of building power charges through Resonance and use Combat frenzy together with freezing/electrocuting enemies vs building charges through shock then siphoning strike, together with killing palm and lingering illusion.

Using resonance seems better vs mobs and clearing overall maps. But i feel im not getting any power charges vs bosses, which really makes me kinda gravitate towards building power charges with shock/siphoning as i feel that does ok vs packs aswell as bosses.

I kinda want to see if i can make resonance work better vs bosses, as the QOL of building power charges through battle frenzy is very nice. Am i missing something or will i simply not be able to build any charges vs bosses?

I think even shock+siphoning is pretty clunky vs bosses. Sure, you generate more than if you're using freeze or electrocute+combat frenzy and resonance, but it's still not much better.

For me personally I just don't worry much about power charges for most bosses. Will probably need to swap some stuff around when I do the pinnacle bosses where I can't just delete them super quick.

Regular bosses usually just melt quickly to ice strike+charged staff+bell+avatar anyways, so I don't worry about generating many charges vs them. Eventually I do plan to drop avatar, though, but I think by then it still won't make much of a difference.

For really tough bosses, I'd consider swapping charge infusion out for cast on shock+eye of winter+snipers mark. For a lightning monk, maybe just removing electrocute for a skill gem that gives more damage and relying on siphoning strike may be better. Cast on shock+snipers mark would work too.

I'm using freezing mark + call of the botherhood ring (converts lightning to cold dmg) to freeze bosses and gain charges.

There are some support gems you can put in whatever palm skill you're using that will increase a targets exposure to different elements as well which'll make it easier to proc an ailment.

I'd go with w/e element you've got your charged staff doing, probably lightning.
