Game crashing to windows is driving me insane

Hope to get some help for this... I really cant play for more than 2 or 3 mins without the game crashing me to windows without no explanation or error.

so far i have already tried to:
reinstall the game
update nvidia drivers
changed dx12 to vulcan
reduce all specs to low as far as i could
rollback windows update
....

i did everything i was adviced to try to solve the problem, yet, i cant play without crashing... something that before was not happening and now (for some weeks already) is..

anyone got some other advice or am i doomed out of EA :(

Check event viewer , it will tell u the error of the crash , also try to run SFC /scannow as an admin in CMD

make sure you rolled back windows to 23h and stop it updating.

Side note look at the recommended setup and minimum setup on the store page it says windows 10 :(

Yeah we basically waiting on GGG to fix their game code to run better on Windows 11 and they are on extended xmas break
Have done everything the OP has done including the nvida gpu hotfix released dec 24 (566.45)
Nothing has changed.
I have a crappy 1650 gpu and seeing people with 4070 ti's complaining about the same crashes I have. So ya it's not my hardware. lol

how do you know that they have the same crashes ? noone of you ever analysed the crash cause or system logs (so far i can see here in the forum).

it is simply funny how ppl try to claim the game code is the problem without even think about that a faulty game code would effect every user and not only 1 or 2 % of them.

btw your "tech buddy" seams to be a imposter and not a tech expert at all or he would be able to exactly tell you what is going on at your system that crash the game.

How do I know they are the same crashes? After reading multi threads over the last 20 days and encountering my own problems at my end they are the same. People say they are crashing to main windows screen (no crash report) I'm having the exact same issue. People say the game locks up on a loading screen (you have to close it through task manager) I have the exact same issue. People say if you don't change the cores PoE has access to your PC will freeze up (forcing you to press the power button on your PC) Having that exact same issue if I don't adjust the cores.
It's not like they are saying they crashed while loading and I'm only crashing when 500 monsters are on my screen and trying to pass that as the same crashing issue. I'm literally experience the exact same crashes as everyone else does that goes into details about what they are experiencing during the crashes

I think it's funny people claiming to know how code works, telling others how code works and is also wrong. I think it's funny that you think a code problem would mean 100% of users would be affected.

My tech buddy has the same PC as I do but runs windows 10 and isn't having these issues. Your claiming my tech buddy is an impostor because when I open poe and the game instantly crashes to windows without even a crash report they should automatically be able to tell me what's wrong with my system? How?

Why are Ryzen 9, 64 gb Ram, 4070 ti's having the exact same issues as I am with Ryzen 5, 32gb Ram, gtx 1650

Edit: It's not my hardware, it's not buddy's really good hardware that are the issues. It's not the Jan 2025 gpu update (aka the dec 24 hotfix) that people are able to install early. This leaves GGG or Windows. We won't get a windows update till sometime in Jan (no hotfix early updates like you can do with gpu) and GGG has been really silent on their end. GGG made their game and coded the game around Windows 10 ( both min system and recommended sys requirements from GGG to play PoE 2 is Windows 10 )

crash logs does not pop up onto your screen you have to look for them active in the windows logs

what you know is they have the same failure picture what could have complete different causes.

just to tell you something about the game elden ring where i'm the most active guy to analyse and solve crashes, there is a crash called whitescreen crash all ppl have the same failure picture but there are 129 different causes and you have to fix at the OS end to resolve the issue.

i'm a educated computer expert since a very long time, i know definitely more about computer and error hunting than you will ever know.

just to add, gamecode does not access your hardware directly it use the hardware translation layer in the OS, this is a thing since windows 10, from this time on a code error effects every single user.

so far on my 7950x3d 32gb 6000 MHz rx 7600 xt the game simply runs and runs and runs zero crashes so far no hangs or freezes.

No issues here and i got a similair system 4060TI only diffrence

U do have an error , u just dont know where to find it lol.

I also have a mobo that will tell me if I have errors on my end related to cpu,gpu,ram and boot
None of my temps in game come even close to critical. Gpu runs at 45c playing POE and CPU usage sits around 35% while playing.

because the developer has a internal crash management and a different engine and you have no idea how any of this stuff works, get a playstation and never touch again a PC.

i never said that crash management not exists, there are conditions to reach to get crash reports you even can send man, study this stuff like i did and work some decades in this area like i did.

btw ppl that say a crash report from a engine is the same like windows crash logs should stopp to even ever touch any device with a OS.
