Is it me or does endgame feel just like PoE1 combat wise?
Zoom zoom kill kill - one shot die noob

The tactical combat experience from A1-3 seems diminished at end game maps.

Yes. The content creators mislead everyone.

Can't fault people for finding the best ways to make currency. Slow multi button builds is counter intuitive.
Yep, they basically copied poe1 endgame and focused on the first 3 acts the most.

I keep seeing this but, even a lot of content creators are saying it maybe feels a bit too much like PoE1 right now in the end game. Acts 1-3 feel distinctly PoE2 and the further you go the more it just feels like you're playing a prettier PoE1.

And if we're talking about misleading around/right after release, then that's just silly. They hadn't played with the end game anymore than the rest of us.

It feels like the first PoE because it is exactly like the first PoE, we're just heavily nerfed movement wise while rest of the game remains the same zoomy madhouse that expects us to blink and dash, blast screens clear in an instant.

The slow, methodical, weighty combat flies out the window the second the story ends and personally, i'm not interested in a lesser version of atlas mapping when i can just wait for the inevitable new league of the OG PoE and have fun there.

There's more oneshot by dead enemies, sometimes even well after they are dead. Also the loot is way worse.

Nobody is stopping you from making a slow character.

But the devs kinda wanted more multi button builds with synergies to other skills/spells.

I mean what would you like differently though? If you're seeking slow methodical combat then you're gonna be hard pressed to find it even in a Soulsborne game. Unless you're going for a challenge run, you're going to make a build that can deal massive amounts of damage quickly, and that is what we have here.

There is nothing stopping you from making your own build in PoE 2 and having fun with it.

Yes. There are already builds onetapping the entire screen at highest maps.
Which trivialise breaches.
And there are other builds which can oneshot every single boss in the game.
1 Hammer of the gods + bleed = dead boss.

However in this game you can use way more skills due to not being limited by gear slots and links, that's an enormous improvement.
