I keep seeing this but, even a lot of content creators are saying it maybe feels a bit too much like PoE1 right now in the end game. Acts 1-3 feel distinctly PoE2 and the further you go the more it just feels like you're playing a prettier PoE1.
And if we're talking about misleading around/right after release, then that's just silly. They hadn't played with the end game anymore than the rest of us.
The slow, methodical, weighty combat flies out the window the second the story ends and personally, i'm not interested in a lesser version of atlas mapping when i can just wait for the inevitable new league of the OG PoE and have fun there.
But the devs kinda wanted more multi button builds with synergies to other skills/spells.
There is nothing stopping you from making your own build in PoE 2 and having fun with it.
Which trivialise breaches.
And there are other builds which can oneshot every single boss in the game.
1 Hammer of the gods + bleed = dead boss.
However in this game you can use way more skills due to not being limited by gear slots and links, that's an enormous improvement.
